Great question. As an indie, we don’t have the backing of multi-media conglomerates that can afford to take a loss on comic books as promotion for their movies and TV shows.
Think of us as “artisanal comics.” We do exclusive, limited edition comics in small print runs—which means our comics cost significantly more to print than a mass-produced book sold through comic shops.
Once we factor in shipping and packaging, we're only making a few dollars per book. Which, by the way, go directly to our artists—Clay and Alexandre don’t make a dime.
The difference for you is that you’re a producer on the project, and we credit you in the book as such. You also get a certificate of authenticity signed by Frieda, some exclusive prints, and digital bonuses.
We also like to think Frieda puts a little extra love in our packages.
