For the relaunch, we will 3D print the enclosure body instead of using injection molding. This will save us many thousands in upfront production costs allowing us to do a much lower Kickstarter goal at lower volumes.
If our dreams come true and the relaunch really takes off, we may switch back to injection molding. There is a point where injection molding makes more sense.
3D printing costs more per part to make, but has lower setup costs. Injection molding costs less per part, but has very high setup costs
