In 2014 we gave you four beautiful collections featuring authors such as CC Humphreys, JJ Lee, Joan MacLeod and Susanna Kearsley, and artists like Melissa Mary Duncan, Tais Teng and Arantzazu Martinez.
For 2015 we plan to publish multiple award winning authors Robert J Sawyer, Eileen Kernaghan and Jack Whyte, as well as many more established and emerging creators.
But we need your support to make it happen!
In last year's Kickstarter campaign we raised enough to print the first issue, and scraped together the rest with subscriptions, other fundraisers and loans. This year it's go big or go home.
We want to raise enough to print all four 2015 issues and to continue paying our artists.
Here's just one of the rave reviews from a Year 1 subscriber:
'I can tell you that this has been some of the most enjoyable book time I have spent this past year, and I always look forward to the next issue. A wide variety of stories, with something for everyone, and always entertaining! An excellent choice for yourself, and any book lovers on your holiday gift list! Support the arts, indulge your love of reading, stick your nose in there and smell that wonderful new book aroma! A small cost for great pleasure!'
What's in it for you?
We have some pretty fantastic rewards lined up for our backers. Of course you can donate any amount without selecting a reward but we think you deserve one!
Whether by e-book or print issue mailed to your door, your subscription gives you a thousand pages of entertainment through 2015.

Some of our 5-Star Reviews from Issues 1-4
'This is a new magazine with a lot of energy behind it. And inside it.'
'Great for my train commute and I adore the illustrations – so fresh!'
'Poetry rubs shoulders with prose. High fantasy keeps company with comics… The unifying theme is engaging story-telling.'
'Great writing, something for everyone!'
'...worth every penny.'
'I didn't want to leave the characters...Is anything more fun than getting a new book in the mail?'
What does the funding go towards?
Printing costs = $9,000
Cost of delivering Kickstarter rewards = $2000
Paying external writers and artists = $11,500
Kickstarter fees (8-10%): $2250
You'll notice the largest part of the budget is paying writers and artists. We currently pay up to 7 cents per word for new work and up to 3.5 cents a word for reprints. We have stretch goals too! If we make more that our minimum funding we will be able to pay our contributors more and publish more new material.
We are so excited about our fantastic talent lined up for Issues 5 through 8. Don't miss out on getting the next four fabulous issues delivered to your door!
Risks and challenges
We're strict with our deadlines, and committed to putting these stories into the world. We've already delivered four beautiful print and ebook issues as scheduled this year, and we see no reason why we won't be able to complete the next four, funding permitted. Issue 5 is already with our designers, issue 6 content is mostly in place, and we have feature authors and cover art lined up into issue 7.
However if printing and mailing costs go up, or in the unlikely event other unforeseen difficulties make it impossible to deliver all the issues in print, we will continue to release fiction in ebook format until all our subscriptions are fulfilled.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
