About this project
We have a dual need for a commercial kitchen; the first being to allow us to provide food service to our winery customers, the second is to provide a production kitchen for local artisans to produce their jellies, jams, salsas, chutneys and dried fruit products so they can meet the FDA requirements to distribute them.
Many customers come to our winery and are looking for simple food to enjoy with the wine. We are looking to produce home made bread, sandwiches, fruit and cheese plates to meet this need.
We also have several local artisans that produce their products and are limited to farmers markets to sell them. We would love to have these items in our gift shop and several area stores that emphasize local products. So if we can provide the facility for them to use for production we all win
To accomplish this we need to upgrade our well to commercial standards, get a propane tank in place and filled for the stove, complete the kitchen and purchase the necessary service items and equipment for the artisans, i.e. mixer, large pots, pressure cooker/canner etc.
Our goal is to complete this project in time for us to take advantage of this year’s harvest.
