About

RoboRama is back! A few years ago the game was presented and launched at Essen 2015. It received raving reviews, and was sold out quickly. But sadly Roborama’s publisher went out of business not long after that. Recently Pumpkin Games acquired the rights for RoboRama, and is planning to return it in all its glory!

The name Roborama was thought up by one of the authors, who was watching the cartoon Futurama, in which the grumpy robot Bender plays a major role.

Robot + Futurama = RoboRama 😉

Kickstarter

The Kickstarter version of RoboRama will not differ that much from the original. But we do want to make some improvements, like improving the color differences between the robots,  and a Kickstarter exclusive expansion. If we reach 110% funding, we are also thinking of a two-sided playing board.

Goal of the Game

In RoboRama the goal is simple: Race against the other players by constantly picking the right combination of action cards and routes for your robots in order to cross the arena. Or — if that isn't thrilling enough — add the ChaosBot, which can be controlled by everyone. Finish first with your four robots on the opposite side of the arena and you win! Of course this is easier said than done. After all, you are not the only one trying to win, making it pretty crowded in the arena.

RoboRama offers three different types of play with multiple variations; the game is easy to learn, but all the more difficult to win.

Risks and challenges

Although this is Pumpkin Games’ first Kickstarter campaign, we have already produced seven games. We have set as less Kickstarter goals as possible, because it is our goal to ship RoboRama to your front door as soon as possible. We have already made the molds for the robots, and the design is also already completed. We have already done a lot of the prep work to find the right logistical partner. So we already have attractive shipping prizes for every country.
