Between Miracle and Eureka: The Books Are Coming!

Posted by Copper Canyon Press (Creator)

Dear Ursula K. Le Guin: Poet’s Legacy Backers,

Great news! The first copies of So Far So Good have left the printer, and are making their way into the world. Meanwhile our special edition of Le Guin’s first chapbook, Wild Angels, will go to print shortly.

Meet the book you helped to create!
Meet the book you helped to create!

Once both books arrive in our stockroom in early October, we’ll package and send them together to backers who contributed $25 or more, provided you filled out your survey to provide us with contact information.

Although the official publication date for So Far So Good is October 2nd, some bookstores may already be displaying early copies! If you see the book out in the wild, we hope you will take pride knowing you helped to create it. Share a photo of your So Far So Good sighting on social media using the hashtag #SoGoodLeGuin to connect with us here at the Press (we love hearing from you!) and shout out to others who, like you, made this book possible.

So Far So Good has already received fantastic reviews, including this starred review in Publishers Weekly, which describes a collection that “strongly reflects and refracts a life spent dreaming of Earthsea, of action and change, of giving form to mystery, and vice versa,” calling Le Guin “a poet who knew all too well the difference between miracle and eureka, revelation and revolution.”

Cheers to equal parts action and mystery—you have made this alchemy possible.

With gratitude,

The Team at Copper Canyon Press
