The video below was made as a quick demonstration to promote the great possibilities of the Slovak Dances project. The music used was from a live recording at a concert in 2010 in Kosice, Slovakia. Re: 1st Update
Slovak Dances is a consummate work based on folk tunes (similar to other “dance” cycles - Dvorak, Brahms, Beethoven, Kodaly, Borodin) metamorphosed by several layers of Breiner’s complex and multifaceted musical language, including jazz, folklore and improvisation. The album is full of elements of colorful contrasts and energy, unusual instrumentation and humor and will be recorded by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world's best and three incredible soloists (violin, accordion, fujara - an overtone bass flute) at the legendary Air Lyndhurst Studios in London.
With over 30 years of composing and conducting experiences for major labels and 180 albums to his name, Peter has made classical music his life. Slovak Dances has been turned down by labels because it's apparently difficult to market the contemporary works of a living composer. There comes a time in every artist's life, when they absolutely cannot compromise a vision. Slovak Dances is an audacious new album that needs your help to be greenlit. We humbly invite you to be a backer for the making of this once in a life time album experience.

Quiet Homage to my Great-great Grandfather
The Slovak Dances album originates from deep within centuries of traditional Slovak folk music, filtering and distilling those songs through interwoven threads of American Jazz, the rhythm of New York City, the visual narrative of a transmedia filmmaker, and the serene beauty of a symphony orchestra. Being not only cross-media but also cross-cultural, Slovak Dances will have a global appeal and serve as the touchstone to influence additional web-based content beyond the album itself. This is “Deep Media,” an immersive musical experience taking you further than an 80-minute album will permit.
The emergence of peer-to-peer file-sharing networks encourages a lot of people to get their content for free. As disruptive as the Internet has been to the music business, only now is it encouraging visionaries to innovate designs that will stimulate fans in new ways while attracting a wider, more diverse audience.
Future of Classical Music
Turning to the next page of notes in classical music’s future means moving along with today's mobile world. Sasha Santiago, the creative director for the Slovak Dances’ transmedia experience sees the Internet as a chameleon; therefore the web-based scope of Slovak Dances will be distinguished by this medium of media. The Internet is changing storytelling: it’s making content nonlinear, participatory and immersive. The purpose of supporting a traditional classical music album with a transmedia strategy is to create an experience that would make 21st Century music lovers rediscover the significance of a finely crafted contemporary classical music album by showing them:
1) The significance of a contemporary album based on folk songs
2) Where the music comes from, where it's been and where Peter takes it 3) Who are the visionaries and musicians behind the making of this album 4) How the music is made — from concept to the full orchestral experience 5) When the music is finally created, how it inspires listeners and creators
Below is a concept diagram of the Slovak Dances interactive website that will be built and used as the platform to deliver the music and supportive media that will become the "Slovak Dances Album Experience."

In 2012, Sasha documented Peter's journey surrounding the recording of two new albums with the 105 members of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra due for release from Naxos in October 2012. They are Peter's arrangements of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Songs and Dances of Death and The Nursery and Tchaikovsky's Operatic Suites from The Voyevoda and The Queen of Spades.
That documentary, entitled Bask is also due for release on October 10th.
