Black Pens, A New Store and Some Pen News

Hey Kickstarter!

Its been over a year since the kickstarter campaign and I am still overwhelmed by the amount of support you, my backers, have shown me. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have such a great experience taking this pen project to the next level.

Updates

I am excited to announce that I have opened a new online shop for Schon DSGN over at www.schondsgn.com to showcase pens and future projects. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Right now I am having a pen giveaway and promotion through The Clicky Post (an awesome pen blog) and a 25% discount in the new online shop using the code clickypost25 until this Friday on any order! Enjoy!

New Pens?

Many of you had asked for black pens during the kickstarter, so I made a small batch of black anodized pens that will be for sale until they run out online.

I am also in the process of manufacturing a small batch of Grade 5 Titanium USA made pens (some of which will be black PVD DLC coated). These will be sold exclusively in the online store and will help fund the development of my next pen. I am only making 100 of these pens as they are incredibly expensive to manufacture. However, they are super bad-ass, so there's that right? These will hopefully be online by December in time for the holidays.

The Next Pen Project?

Yes, it is true. I am developing a new pen. Yes it has a clip option. No, I am not done yet. This is taking me forever, but for a good reason. I want this pen to be as awesome as the first and I really don't want to rush it. Sure, I had a V2 pen with a simple sheet metal clip that I almost launched, but it didn't quite match the aesthetic of the first pen. I am working on refining the design of this new pen and will launch it sometime next year if all goes to plan.

To stay in the loop or see what else I am working on in the meantime, follow my blog, instagram, twitter and check back here from time to time.

Best,

The new website is really nice...comfortable. Love the logo. Congratulations!

This is by far my favorite pen - I have owed and lost several very pricey pens but this one has created some kind of pen focus deep in some reach of the brain. Hopefully will have my new anodized one in my hands tomorrow. Btw - I work for an aluminum extrusion company with full fab and anodize - their are several coworkers that try to steal the pen - now I am sure to add the anodize department.

The black version is cool.... But the titanium version is going to be.... Well....... Titanium. So now it's that inner turmoil of what to do. Any idea how much the titanium version is going to be? Might just have to bite the bullet and get the black and the titanium. And then there's a new version to look out for aswell. So much good stuff going on, cheers for the update, can't wait to see the new version.

Very cool to see there will be an updated version with a clip (which will address the issue of the pen rolling off of uneven surfaces). Would also be cool to have it be compatible with a more fluid writing cartridge. As much as I appreciate the space pen, it can at times write a bit blotchy/inconsistent. Looking forward to the new offering!
