About this project
The Book, Reality Not Included
Reality Not Included is a comic anthology that shows the talents of the illustrators and animators from Brigham Young University. This is not a college-backed project, just a big group of friends and colleagues who wanted to get together and show what we can do as artists and story-tellers. Our motley little crew ranges from college students just getting their feet wet to professional artists who work in prestigious studios in the animation industry. Each artist creates their own comic or illustration thus bringing their own unique styles and abilities to the book.
Our goal is to raise at least $8,000 to get the comic printed and published so we can exhibit it at the CTN Animation Expo in Burbank, California. The CTN (Creative Talent Network) animation expo will open doors for many of our artists. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to network, learn, grow, improve our work and most importantly, find jobs in our specialized fields.
We are very lucky to have such a talented, dedicated group that can produce top quality work. Our artists are either BYU students or BYU alumni. Our training comes from our faculty, from our favorite comics and movies, from each other, and, for some of us, international art academies. We are also including special guest artist, Matt Armstrong from Disney Interactive in our anthology. Here are some samples of the artists' work. These will not necessarily be in the book, but will give you an idea of the quality of work you can expect from us. Click on an image to go to the artists' blogs and see samples of their art.

How do I donate?
It's quite a simple process, really. All you have to do is go over to the bar on the right of the screen, and click on the amount you want to contribute. After that, a window will pop up titled "back this project". From there, hit "continue to next step". You will then be lead to your account on Amazon so you can contribute to this project. Every donation is a payment made through Amazon so all transfers are secure through Amazon payments.YOUR MONEY WILL NOT BE WITHDRAWN UNTIL THE DEADLINE AND IF WE REACH OUR GOAL.
Every donation counts
Keep in mind that we can only print our books and take them to the Expo in California if we make it past our goal of $8,000 so every contribution makes a difference. THAT MEANS IF WE DON'T REACH OUR GOAL, THEN YOU ARE NOT CHARGED A PENNY AND WE CANNOT PRINT OUR BOOK OR TAKE IT TO CALIFORNIA. We have something to offer everyone that contributes to this book as our way of saying thank you.
Thank you and we look forward to working with you. :)
