I’ll Be Right Back is a new theatre company formed out of a love of the horror genre and a desire to make shocking and exciting theatrical experiences accessible to you, the general public.
Our first exciting production is an adaptation of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, which will premiere at this year’s London Horror Festival on 29-31st October 2014 at Camden's Etcetera Theatre in London. We have been heavily inspired by the horror classic Hellraiser and the video game Silent Hill, and these influences will be brought to life through our sets and costume. If you would love to see a live production inspired by these influences, then this is the play for you!
The play is set against a bustling metropolis of a modern day city. The D.I.S. Corporation aims to squeeze the life out of those struggling with medical premiums for cancer treatments. Feeling disgruntled with life John Faustus has reached a cross-roads, given the option to “have it all” – but at what price? Watch as the decisions he makes take him on a path of no return, in a decaying world where the choices you make live on for a lifetime.
This Kickstarter is a wonderful opportunity for you to be involved in bringing this re-imagining of Faustus to life. From a credit in the programme and DVDs of the performance to dinner with the cast and crew and even the chance to see a rehearsal in action, this promises to be a terrifying and visceral experience you will never forget.
We want to make Faustus the best theatre experience that we can for you, our audience. In order to do this, we need amazing costumes, atmospheric sets and props, not to mention rehearsal spaces. Of course this means an investment of money and the budget below will give you some idea of the costs you will be helping to meet.
Set Design - £400
Costume - £350
Rehearsal Space - £600
London Horror Festival Fees - £400
Marketing Materials - £200
Any money that the Kickstarter makes over our budget will be invested back into this production to make it even better.

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge that we face is translating our ambitious design concepts into reality and a large portion of the money that you donate will help us to do this. We literally want to show John Faustus’s world disintegrating around him, as reality fades and the forces of hell grow stronger in his life. Our costumes are also a challenge, keeping in line with the Hellraiser and Silent Hill inspired world that we have envisioned; there will be an array of terrifying demons that will haunt Faustus and you our audience.
We have a very talented design team that have a detailed plan and budget to bring these sets and costumes to the production, and make Faustus the truly amazing theatre experience we, and you, want it to be. We will be using the money that you invest to bring these creations into detailed and gory life; the more help you can give us the more we can pour our energy in to scaring you witless and bringing you a shocking yet memorable night at the theatre.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
