About this project
A few quick notes: We've included shipping for the US in all of our Rewards. We humbly request that you add an additional $3 for shipping to Mexico, and $5 for shipping everywhere else.
You cannot make multiple pledges. If you'd like to make pledges for a few things, please add those amounts to your pledges and notify me what they are!
Also, a lot of our packages include a signed copy of Issue #1, because it hasn't been made widely available yet. If you already have Issue #1 and would like to substitute it with either Issue #2 or Issue #3, please send me a message and I will accomodate.
The Adventures of a Comic Con Girl tells the story of Dana and her two friends, Tatiana and Molly, and their misadventures in and around the bizarre world of the comic book convention circuit. Many of the trials and tribulations they incur are oddly identical to the drama of everyday life. It's fast, it's funny, and it may take a page or two from real life events. Maybe.
These Adventures have been broken down into three separate stories and illustrated by the talented David Beauchene. Though each issue is completely self-sustaining, when read sequentially, a mind-blowing overarching story is revealed.. which culminates with Dana landing herself in major hot water. Will she find a way to eventually redeem herself? Who knows? (Well we do, actually.)
Amazingly enough, co-writer Dana Braziel-Solovy has been able to dig deep enough in her pockets to be able to self-finance the first two comics. Now we're turning to you, dear reader, in an attempt to finish the third issue. We'd also like to move into the completed graphic novel, along with doing a couple of big comic conventions to help get the word out, so the more you can help, the better!
Dana Braziel-Solovy loves going to conventions and she loves the people she meets at them. She's worked, or worked with, just about every job you can find on a convention floor, and she's ready to share her experiences with you... for better, or for worse!
Matthew Spradlin, loves chaos (writing about it, rather than being in it). It's been too long he's watched shenanigans on the show floor without exposing them to the world. And I quote, "MWAHAHAHAHA!" He also wrote the best-selling graphic novel, Bad Kids Go to Hell.
David Beauchene is an amazing artist who's more than ready to have his sequential works published. His specialty is drawing women with cute noses, and since we have three of them, he was the only person to draw our comic.
