Are you tired of playing the same lame party games requiring no thought or creativity that quickly become boring and repetitive?

1. Each player takes 9 word cards
2. One player (the reader) reads a topic card aloud
3. Everyone (including the reader) uses their word cards along with any other connecting words to create a unique, hilarious, or ridiculous answer
4. The reader reads all the answers aloud and everyone votes for their favorite (each vote counts for a point and the player with the most points at the end wins!)
5. Players then swap out used cards for new ones, and the hilarity continues with the next player as the reader
In Cunning Linguistics, you won't be spoon-fed pre-created answers, nor will you draw a blank having to come up with an answer off the top of your head. Instead, you'll be creating your own answers with the words in front of you.
So, rather than seeing the same answers over and over (even with a boat load of expansions), or having certain trump cards always win (I'm looking at you Super Soaker Filled With Cat Pee!), your answers will always be unique and will keep you laughing all night!
Every word by itself is completely harmless. No vulgarity or swearing. It's up to you and your friends to combine them any way they choose, which is where things get really hilarious and potentially naughty.
Everyone plays! Have you ever played the role of reader and had to sit around waiting for everyone else to come up with an answer or pick a card? Good times, right? Well, you don't have to worry about that here, because the reader also creates their own answer and can score points just like all the other players!
No judging! Rather than one player having all the power and other players trying to cater to their sense of humor, everyone but the reader votes. And if you choose, you can let the reader vote as well! Each vote counts as a point, and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
All this makes for a game with high replay value, tons of laughs, and lots of inside jokes you'll be sharing for years!

Delivering by the Estimated Date:
Everyone who has ever backed a Kickstarter campaign knows this is a real and valid risk. To address this, we are working with a game manufacturer, freight shipper, and distribution partner, each with a proven track record for delivering on time, and have been working out all the details over many months.
Cunning Linguistics is also fully developed, including all graphics and box design, so other than adjustments made based on backer suggestions, it is ready for production.
We've also built in buffer room in our delivery date to give us the best chance to get Cunning Linguistics to you by our estimated delivery date.
Joe and Matthew both have many years of project management experience, which has already paid off in planning this campaign, and will continue to help ensure timelines are met as best as possible.
Manufacturing Costs are Higher than Expected:
As mentioned above, we've been working very closely with our game manufacturer, but also with our freight shipping and fulfillment partners to ensure we understand all the costs involved.
