About this project
The comic book market place is very competitive. But all the major publishers compete at producing the same old stuff for the same old audience. We remember what comics were like when they were fun. When you could read one as an adult and then give it to your kid to read. We want to create that feeling again with this mini-series. Harry Potter proved that a good story and premise will draw a broad audience and we lovingly refer to JOE FRANKENSTEIN as "Harry Potter for the horror set".
We have had several publishers willing to publish our project, but none of them will advance the money to pay for the up front, labor intensive costs that go into producing story and art, coloring and lettering. On average it takes $12,000-$15,000 to produce the story and art for a SINGLE comic book.
It is our hope to raise the necessary funds through the patronage and generous donations of comic and art lovers around the world, so that we can bring this project of family and redemption to the public.
JOE FRANKENSTEIN is a 4 issue mini-series to be collected in a trade paperback at a later date.
