ABOUT THE FILM
The year 1964 was a landmark year of firsts in U.S history. Sidney Poitier became the first black actor to win the "best actor" Academy Award, The Beatles made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, Hasbro launched the G.I. Joe action figure, and the Buffalo Wing was invented in Buffalo, NY. But for one city, 1964 was a year of lasts.
On December 27th, 1964 the Cleveland Browns defeated the Baltimore Colts to win their fourth and final NFL Championship - the last championship for any pro sports team in the city of Cleveland.
This 47 year drought marks the longest championship drought for a city in professional sports history which has led Cleveland sports fans to believe their city is cursed. Despite making it to multiple World Series, NBA Finals, and league championship games there is some unknown force holding the Browns, Indians, and Cavs back from winning it all.
Besides this “curse”, one thing that has been consistent is the loyalty and support of the fans. Year after year, heartbreak after heartbreak, the fans are hopelessly optimistic - ready with high hopes of a better year than the one before. The love for their teams and their rich history makes the fans of Cleveland sports arguably the best and most loyal fans anywhere.
This documentary will highlight the ups and downs of Cleveland sports in a unique way - with interviews from experts, former players, and most importantly - the fans. It is time for Cleveland fans to tell the world their story - the story of the greatest uncrowned teams in sports history, and the fans that love them.
WHY WE ARE MAKING THIS FILM
Our goal for the film, along with showing the rich history of Cleveland sports, will be to show the dedication of the greatest sports fans in the world. Cleveland fans are the best fans in sports and it is time to put them in the spotlight. For a city that has not seen a championship in almost half a century, they have the most loyal fans that have never turned their backs on their teams and continue to offer their unconditional support year after year.
HOW YOUR SUPPORT WILL HELP
Your support will help us with any and all production costs for the film to make it the best it can be. The production costs involved will cover licensing game footage, photographs, and radio broadcasts - Interviews with fans and personalities associated with the teams - Premiere event for the film to be held in Cleveland plus all other production costs we will have associated with editing, voiceover talent, legal fees, and promotion of the film.

Qualin was born and raised in Oberlin, Ohio a little college town about 45 minutes away from the city of Cleveland. Growing up, Qualin was very active in sports and music falling in love with baseball, singing, and the violin. At the University of Toledo, Qualin discovered his talent and passion for film and television. Since graduating, he has been pursuing his dreams by writing and producing a variety of projects.
