The Final Countdown

In a week I will be boarding a plane heading back east to begin the first step of the Wisdom Project (dubbed the Noesis Sketchbook - the title for the Sketchbook Project sketchbook that comes out of this - more on the tumblr page). The final route chosen for this leg is Savannah, GA -> Richmond, VA -> Washington, DC -> New York City -> Boston, MA, and filling in spots on the west coast before and after I get back (LA, SF, Portland). You can follow the journey's path through a trail of photos at

I'm excited to be closing in on this journey of creativity, and I will be contacting you all today for addresses to send the work when it is made, and what places/wisdom you would like to see in those illustrations. Thank you all again for your support, and I look forward to hearing from you!

- Nathan

The goal for the Wisdom Project has been met! Thank you so much for supporting this project! Where does this project go from here? All further funds raised will go towards enabling this project to expand: to cover two coasts, and the people along the way; towards organizing public art gatherings displaying wisdom documented by artists around the country. The possibilities are endless, so thank you so much again for being part of this first step! Later today I'll be releasing another piece for the buildup series on, this one with wisdom from a contemporary American philosopher. Like the last, this one will be available exclusively to backers so far. Get Wisdom, Nathan

4 Days into the kickstarter project and thank you so much to everyone who has already pledged!

I wanted to share with you all the first release of the build-up series, The Pursuit (study of Rembrandt Peale's Thomas Jefferson) . One of the original American Proverbs, Jefferson's words still perfectly describe American's endless fight for happiness.

When I digitze it, it will be available exclusively to backers so far! Look forward to more in this series, and feel free to make comments for quotes/styles you would like to see done.

Thanks again to all of you!

Get wisdom,

And in the spirit of the political season, another quote from Jefferson:

"Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. "
