MoneymailAds is an online marketing company. MoneymailAds' vision is to bring consumers and advertisers together on a mutually beneficial platform. To achieve this, MoneymailAds pays its members 50 cents or more to view ads, as a result, MoneymailAds offers advertisers access to a growing database of consumers, eager to view ads.
The "Where Ads Are Wanted" slogan encompasses the MoneymailAds vision of changing the current, predominantly negative attitude towards advertising. MoneymailAds allows it's members to not only receive ads of interest, but to be paid for viewing those ads as well. This will change the mindset of the consumers as they will now look forward to receiving ads. In fact, the consumers' main reason for joining and visiting MoneymailAds, is to view ads.

The “Chicken And Egg” Dilemma
MoneymailAds is faced with a “chicken and egg” dilemma. We have 2 types of members – consumers and advertisers. Each plays a vital role in the success of the entire community. Consumers attract advertisers (especially as the number of consumers increases) and advertisers attract consumers (especially as the number of ads distributed increases). However, the challenge for MoneymailAds is that we have started from ground zero – zero consumers and zero advertisers. For Phase 1 of development, we have decided to proceed by attracting consumers first. This will not be easy; mainly because we have no advertisers sending out ads. With the lack of ads circulating in the MoneymailAds community, it will be difficult to create trust, loyalty and enough consumer buzz to grow at the rate we desire.
With your support, however, this goal can be achieved sooner. You can donate to help us reach our goal of $10,000 and/or you can support us by signing up to MoneymailAds and referring your family and friends. Membership is free, therefore even if you do not have any money to donate, you can still support us. Actually, most of the funds we receive from this Kickstarter initiative will be used toward the acquisition of users, therefore signups are more important to us than money. With enough sign ups, we can then begin attracting advertisers and sending out ads. We are extremely confident that once we establish a significant user database, there will be no shortage of advertisers wanting to use our platform to send you ads.
iOS Mobile App for Apple Users
We have recently developed a new mobile app for android users set to be released within the next couple of weeks. This app offers a very convenient way for members to view ads and earn money while on the go. But we have fallen short on funding to develop an iOS app for Apple users. With on-going financial support (stretch goal), we would ensure this project also receives attention for rapid completion because we greatly value Apple users and feel they shouldn't be left out.
MoneymailAds is truly one of a kind because we are trying to bring something completely unique to the market. Our initiative is original to the advertising market, so there are no pre-set roads to success to follow. We understand this won’t be easy, but as true trailblazers we are committed to the challenges that lie ahead. To help us on our journey toward success we are looking for your support. A Paradigm Shift in Advertising
According to Wikipedia (sources available): “Online advertising is a large business and is growing rapidly. In 2011, Internet advertising revenues in the United States surpassed those of cable television and nearly exceeded those of broadcast television. In 2012, Internet advertising revenues in the United States totaled $36.57 billion, a 15.2% increase over the $31.74 billion in revenues in 2011. U.S. internet ad revenue hit a historic high of $20.1 billion for the first half of 2013, up 18% over the same period in 2012. In other words, a boat load of money is spent daily on advertising and NONE of it is shared with you, the consumer.
This paradigm is very dated and MoneymailAds is calling – no shouting for a change. Our mission is to build a mutually-beneficial community where consumers are respected and paid for the viewing of ads. We feel you deserve better than receiving absolutely NOTHING for your time, attention and business.
Remember, businesses spend tons of money on advertising to get your attention and eventually your money for an exchange of their products and/or services. They give this money to various advertising platforms (either directly or through an ad agency) and they keep all the profits. This is simply the way it works. Conversely, MoneymailAds wants you to share in the revenue it generates from advertising. By sharing our ad revenue with our members (consumers), it will strengthen their purchasing power and they will likely spend more on the products and services being advertised.
But until now, you (the consumer) have been left out of the ad-revenue equation. Advertisers leverage your data, your social network affiliations and much more by selling this information to small and large businesses and you never see a dime of this money.
Advertisers sell spots in newspapers, magazines and television/radio commercials and again, none of the revenue is shared with you. With MoneymailAds however, we present a unique opportunity.
We have two main ways we share our ad revenue:
1) Viewing Ads – Once you become a MoneymailAds member, you can view ads and earn a minimum of 50 cents for each ad you view. (Ads are not emailed to you but you receive them in your dedicated MoneymailAds inbox – see our “User Experience: Guided Tour” slide for more details)
2) Referral Network – If you would like to earn even more money, you have the option of building a profitable referral network. Every time one of your referrals view an ad, you will receive 10 cents. This is perfect for people with a large following on social platforms, blogs, etc. For instance, if you build a network of 1000 referrals and they average only 3 ad views per week, you would earn $300 per week or $1200 per month (now imagine how much you could earn with a vast following). The best thing is that this income will not involve any effort on your part and will be completely passive. This can be done as easily as writing a brief post about us and invite your audience to join the MoneymailAds community. Once they click on the link you provide, all sign-ups are automatically tracked and become a part of your referral network.
We all know the great amounts of debt students can incur therefore, MoneymailAds is a perfect platform for them to receive valuable discounts and earn extra money for every day expenses and necessities. Just a few bucks can make a huge difference.

“As a Health & Fitness Professional, I wanted to advertise to potential consumers in my area. Most businesses use flyers and so that’s what I did. I sent out thousands of flyers but I thought to myself, ‘how many of these people are actually going to read my flyer or are interested in what I have to offer?’ In any case, most flyers end up going directly into the garbage – what a waste of time and money. If only there was a way to only send ads to people I knew were interested and to only pay for ads that I knew people actually read. This sparked the original idea of MoneymailAds.

Eric has an exceptional understanding of various computer and internet technologies which keeps MoneymailAds up-to-date and in a prime position for market growth. Eric ensures that MoneymailAds functions optimally and that all safety parameters are met. In his spare time, Eric enjoys playing sports and he is a big movie fan. MoneymailAds is extremely fortunate to have such a technical wizard as a part of the team.“When Sal and Luca first introduced me to MoneymailAds, I was immediately blown away with the idea. It was unique and it made sense (no pun intended). I was honoured and excited to join the team. With MoneymailAds, I get the feeling of making a change, making a difference. In the past, I have often felt bombarded by ads promoting products and services that I had absolutely no interest in. Now, with MoneymailAds, advertisers can target consumers based on their tastes and interests thereby avoiding this problem.
The MoneymailAds Journey in a Nutshell
A few years ago, I purchased and was working my way through a correspondence marketing course developed specifically for fitness trainers. The course was quite thorough and it described the fundamentals of marketing. As I approached the end of the course, I read a section which described the advantages and disadvantages of email marketing. The 2 main disadvantages included; 1) email or admail delivery rates and 2) admail view rates. First, your admail may not reach all of the intended recipients due to SPAM blockers and tracking the delivery success rate was practically impossible. Second, if the admail does get through then the challenge was to get the recipient to open and view the ad. The main problem is that your admail gets mixed in with personal or work-related email and may be overlooked and/or deleted without being viewed by the recipient. In addition, the inbox cluttering would often result in your admail being considered a nuisance which could create a negative branding effect for your company.
I first shared this idea with Luca. He seemed an obvious choice because several years ago, we worked together for a large market research company. Intuitively, I knew he would understand the value of this idea. He immediately fell in love with the concept and we began putting together a business plan. Once this was completed, we went in search of investors. However, because the idea was in its infancy, investors were asking for far too great a share or percentage of the company (the fact they were interested in acquiring such a large share only proved the viability of the idea). We decided to invest as much of our own money as possible and at least develop a prototype.
Our search then shifted to software developers. We were hoping to find a programmer(s) who could build our system. We interviewed and hired some independent programmers but after a 7 month period, we realized that are system was far too complicated for them to develop. This was a huge lesson for us because it made it clear that we would have to invest in an established software company to develop the prototype. This may sound like it was a negative experience but in actuality, it was a blessing as well. Why? Well, during this search we would find our 3rd partner – Eric.
Even though Eric is not a programmer, he has extensive knowledge and experience with developing websites. He also has experience in project management which has proven to be useful time and time again. But beyond his skill set, he is an incredible joy to be around and to work with. After expressing his great interest in the idea, Luca and I decided to add him as a partner. He fit in with our team seamlessly and perfectly.
In 2010, MoneymailAds founders put up $50,000 to develop a working prototype of this unique idea which pays its members to view ads. Once completed (about one year later), MoneymailAds (formerly named MoneyMail) ran a soft-launch to test the market on a small scale. Here are some statistics we collected from our soft launch:
The website had an incredible 50% conversion
rate which means one out of every two people who visited the site signed up
50% of the ads that were sent out were viewed
50% of those ad views generated a click-through
where the user visited our sponsors’ website
Needless to say, our numbers confirmed that our website could be successful not only on a small scale, but on any sized scale for that matter. Overall, we had extremely positive reviews for the concept; however, the website needed a serious renovation if it were to become the successful community we envisioned so we decided to invest an additional $25,000. With this investment we have done the following:
Renamed and re-branded (logo and colours) the
Redesigned the entire website
Upgraded the website application and included more
functionalities such as our ‘Refer and Earn Program’ and additional referral
Developed a new Facebook app where users can
view ads directly from their Facebook account
Developed a mobile app (currently android
version only) where users can view ads directly from their mobile device(s)
With all these additions completed (or near completion) we are now ready to bring MoneymailAds to a larger market. We know Kickstarter is the perfect place to get the community support needed to get this idea moving forward. Risks and challenges

“Too Good To Be True”
When we first launched MoneymailAds, the initial response was; “It’s too good to be true”. We did not take this response negatively; instead, we found it motivating, and at the same time, reassuring that our idea of paying consumers for their time to view ads was indeed “too good”. Therefore, we realized that one of our greatest challenges would be to show consumers that MoneymailAds is, in fact “true” – a trustworthy and beneficial community. Why is it such a challenge to establish MoneymailAds as a reputable community? Unfortunately, there are no shortages of illegitimate companies making false claims and promises. This makes it difficult for an up-and-coming company with an innovative business model (deemed “too good to be true”) to earn the trust of consumers. However, we are very confident and know that soon enough, more people will start spreading the ‘good word’ about our community. As more and more members begin earning money for viewing ads; it’s only a matter of time before MoneymailAds explodes. We hope you will be with us during this sudden rise in growth and popularity.
By far, one of MoneymailAds’ greatest challenges is that we are one of a kind. There are no other successful companies using this business model that we can emulate. There is no set road map we can follow to develop our vision. MoneymailAds is trekking in uncharted territory and we are relying on guesswork, forethought and most of all, intuition. As difficult as this journey may prove to be for us, we will continue to strive forward. Because that’s what successful leaders in every industry do; they boldly go where no one has gone before and they trust in their ability to rise above all challenges.
Lack of Funds and Human Resources
Our current financial situation does not permit us to staff permanent software developers so when technological challenges arise, they become very difficult to deal with in a timely manner. One example was when Facebook changed their programming language the MoneymailAds Facebook app was completely disabled as a result of the change. Our only option was to outsource which is very expensive and time consuming. This may be an issue again as we cannot control what third parties do.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
