Updates and Timelines!

Posted by Elodin Enterprises (Creator)
Hello wonderful backers,

Thanks as always for your continued support! The last few months have been a whirlwind of proofs, approvals, and calculating of timelines.

The good news is it looks like the decks are going to be absolutely stunning thanks to the hard work of Echo and Pat. Unfortunately, after making tripply sure with our printer, it looks like the decks will be shipping about six weeks late.

We’d intended to begin shipping at the end of this month, but we won’t actually be able to begin shipping until mid-June. It’s not a huge delay, but it IS a delay, so we wanted to give you guys a heads up, and be as honest and transparent as possible.

Pat posted up a blog about it this morning over here, but we also want to reiterate how sorry we are about this. The reason for the delay is honestly that we took the extra time to work really hard on the art. It’s the centerpiece of the campaign, and it was important to all of us for it to be as perfect as possible. When we got to the end of our budgeted art development time, Pat made the call to spend the time working on the pieces he wasn’t yet in love with.

And out of that process came amazing cards like this.

Again, we’re sorry about the delay. The good news is that until the beginning of June, you’ll be able to update your addresses in BackerKit.

If you need to do that, simply go to and recover your survey by entering your Kickstarter Account Email.

If you haven’t yet answered your survey, it’ll take you through the steps to do so. If you have, you can still go back and edit your address by clicking on “View Confirmation” in the top right, then “Edit Shipping Info” on the next page.

As always, thank you to all of you for your patience, kindness, and enthusiasm for this project. You’ve all been amazing, and we can’t wait to get these cards to you.

You're all completely right, sorry for the confusion. This art is the same art that we showed off on January 12, and we were just showcasing the type of art that came out of our delay. The art has been final for a while, but we only just got our final timeline from the printer that confirmed how much it affected shipping dates.

Sorry again for the lack of clarity, but hopefully that solves the confusion!

Sorry, but isn't that card the same you posted in January 12?

Although I'm don't care about the delay I have wondered the same as @Luis Miguel Radillo:
What's the difference in the Auri joker card?

      Greetings from Germany,

Good excuses open the door to bad excuses.

That Joker-Auri card is exactly the same card you post on Junary 12th. This delay could be notice at least 2 months ago and not a week before the deadline. I was really hype and now.....

I'll gladly trade 6 weeks of waiting for a more beautiful product. Thank you for the update!

Getting an update is always great. Thanks for the forthright attitude. It’s refreshing, verse the lack of such seen in the last few years.

@Fern: Send us an email at elodin (@) and we'll see what we can do!

@Ray: We understand your disappointment, and we are truly sorry. We never claimed the campaign would be out by Christmas, and made it as clear as we could by offering a Christmas Card as a substitute knowing the cards wouldn't be ready, but we understand that the six week delay from our announced shipment day is frustrating, and we apologize for that.

Honestly? Disappointing. A lot of Kickstarters fail or are delayed. That's no excuse for you to do the same.

At first this was going to be ready for Xmas, so April is already a large delay. And from the outside, it looks like the extra delay is in large part due to scope creep on your part. A simple deck of cards turned into an extravaganza, with the inevitable associated additional problems. But yay, you make more money.

I was counting on the timeline as I purchased this as a birthday gift. I am okay with the tradeoff of delivery date for quality. However, can you guys offer us a teaser card to use as the gift in the meantime?

I listed a place I could receive the deck on the previously schedulled time and I won't be able to receive it now. I live on another country from this place and have not the means to pay for the shipping.

      Could someone contact me, please?

Thanks for the update. Part of the beauty of Kickstarter is in supporting projects that don't already exist. Timelines are best guesses and lots can happen to cause delays. A delay for quality is one I will never complain about. Happy to help support Pat, Echo and the Team.
