The game consists of 88 hexagonal tiles, each made of three diamond-shaped faces. Visually, each piece looks like a 2D representation of a cube. The tiles are made from six varieties of color, plus some black tiles.
History of the game
The Grid Game was designed as a game with the capacity to engage people by its aesthetics achieved by the material, shape, and colors.
For the past three years, we have been designing and playing this board game with our closest friends and doing some tournaments to test the mechanics of the game.
We have been also prototyping and developing the process of production to achieve the best quality. We experimented with different materials and processes of manufacturing, searching for the perfect material that meets our expectations in terms of presentation and ease of use.
Now the game is ready, with this Kickstarter campaign we aim to share this game with people around the world. So if you liked it help us spread the word by BACKING US.
If you like the project we will be very grateful if you follow us and share our campaign with all your friends, family and loved ones.
Risks and challenges
Production of the game is simple, it involves commercially available raw materials, CNC machining, and handwork to create the game, all these processes are easily scalable to accommodate any given demand.
The biggest challenge for us would actually be to wake up to a million orders (not that we don't want to). We know that we are not printing cards but we have been planning and simplifying all the steps of production in order to have everything under control.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
