SOUNDVERTERS bring you direct sound from your Flat Screen's Down firing Speakers providing a clearer sound to your ears and allows you to lower your listening volume level.
Millions are searching for a solution : Better sound for my TV, Quality Sound for TV, Enhance the Sound of my TV., . Soundverters are the Solution!
Please keep in mind that It is impossible to recreate the sound quality/clarity over someone else's sound system ( your device). For example A Bose speaker commercial or clip on the internet trying to express the sound quality of their sound systems, The sound quality can not be heard over your speakers on your computer or any device you are listening to it on. I have made a video below that you can clearly hear the sound changing with the SOUNDVERTERS on and off the TV.
I like to first of all Thank you all in advance for helping me bring my invention to the market.
The goal is to get Soundverters in many retail stores Worldwide.
I am here to raise the funds for the first production mold and production run of the SOUNDVERTERS and funds for the first advertisement cost to get the word out to the World that a solution has been created to improved the sound of the Flat Screen TV's with out the added cost of electronic devices and wires. Recyclable and green.
I have created the SOUNDVERTER™. A solution for the poor quality sound produced by factory speaker configuration of the Flat Screen TV's all across the world.
This past winter I was laid off of work and I am not one to just sit around and mope. I was getting caught up on some much needed chores around the house and while taking a break and watching my Flat Screen in my Kitchen. It dawn on me that now I had some time on my hands to focus on creating something, if only for me to resolve a problem I have had with my Flat Screen TV's from day one of purchasing. Poor sound quality. Isn't about time somebody done something.
Better sound for a TV
The reason for this is that the majority of Flat Screen TV's have what is called down firing speakers. In short the speaker’s configurations are located at the bottom of the TV. Thus the sound wave are directed towards the floor rather than towards the viewing area in front of the TV. So what you end up with is secondary sound waves making it to your ears not direct sound waves.
I don't know about the rest of the world but, I am never going to purchase a sound bar or a home theater system for my kitchen TV. It was purchased to watch the news and other programs while I prepared food for quest or myself. The 55" Samsung I purchased for my living room had the same problem. I would have to set the sound level to 38 or better to clearly hear the news and other broadcast. I did not want to use my Home Theater system to listen to regular broadcasting.
Perhaps this project will inspire some who have suffered my fate and push on and use their down times to improve something in their lives.
I created some prototypes and tried them out on my Flat Screen TV's. All who have visited my the home had notice the sound improvement right away. I even lowered the sound level between 10 and 15 and able to hear everything clearly.
Below is a picture of my first prototypes. Crude but worked.
Here is a demo video of them on and off a Television this was done with a high quality camera and captures the sound changes.
I went to my sisters and was telling her and my Brother-n-law what I had discovered and created better prototype for their TV.
Below is a picture of the first prototypes made out of card board to test the my theory. I made these for my sisters and brother-n-laws, Flat Screen TV located in her bedroom.
Pictured below is the configuration of Flat Screen in her bedroom. My sister and brother-n-law stated the sound was horrible. She stated that my Brother-n-Law had to have the volume level so high for him to hear, that she could not sleep while he was watching the TV. vice-verse.
Perhaps you have a flat screen in this configuration.
After installing these they reported back, the sound was awesome and now they have reduced their sound level from previous viewing up to 10 levels +.
I started doing research on the net for ways to create my product. Well, I could not help but wonder what is this, kickstarter everyone is referring to. So, I followed the links and discovered this site and I am truly Grateful to find that someone still cares about us little people and created an outlet to be creative and change the world we live in. This in itself is going to change the way we inventors get our products to the market. Special thanks to Kick Starter.
Why am I here looking for pledges? Well the cost to get this product into mass production and on market will cost a small fortune as my research has shown. So, with your help you will be able to share in my success in my later years and be an inspiration for others is my goal. Perhaps I would make a video with all of those who have made a pledge. That would be kinda cool and post it on YouTube.
With the success of my Prototypes,
I started working with AutoCad to create models for the variety of Flat Screen TV's. Thanks to youtube which able me to accomplish most of my drawings with help from tutorials I had found there. This was a challenge for a beginner. I continued researching ways to bring them to life. Below are some of the models I drew in autoCad.
After dealing with many 3D printing company's
and conversing back and forth by e-mail getting outrageous quotes one company stood out. This one individual sent me an e-mail and stated " If I knew what you were trying to create perhaps I could be of better assistance. I sent back an e-mail with pictures of my models and gave him a link to my blog for further detail. I found it ironic that this was the only person at all of the company's i approached was sincere about helping me with what I was trying to create.
Eric Wilson with
createitforme.com has been a great help with improving and bringing the SOUNDVERTERS to life. This man took time to draw up a AutoCad drawing and combined the prototype ideas into one model reducing the variety of models needed to fit the variety of Flat Screen TV's speaker configurations. In fact if need be, we will be able to custom make one to fit any configuration currently in use and models to come. That should be no problem with the latest technology available today.
Below is a picture of the first model to be created and was shipped to me for testing 03/03/2014 and demos for retail approach.
Tell me, that does not look great,
all I could say was "WOW" and thanks a mil Eric. Well I looked over the specs and we worked together to get the specs right for the first model. The SOUNDVERTER was now in its universal stage finally.
Shark tanks cast,
would be please to know that I did my research and discovered this company which has offered me the best support of any of the company’s that I have approached and the best value for producing this product. It pays to be due diligent and research all avenues when you are trying to bring a product to market to keep cost in prospective and insure a quality product for the masses an affordable price.
I filed for a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark office on February, 06, 2014 to protect my invention. This allows time for more research and further studies to improve what appears to be presently little room for improvement. More on this latter.
What a lot of people do not realize is that the only one who is allowed to apply for a patent is the original inventor. Thus as an inventor you must make notes on all of your work, progress and have witnesses who need to sign and date your inventors book stating that they understand your what you have discovered. That is what will hold up in court should someone try to trump you so to speak. You must also continue making notes, keeping records of your progress. Beware of those so call " Inventors assist company's " because the majority of them are out to make a buck on your enthusiasm of your invention. With no real passion to bring it to market. Because if you don't the statue of limitations can run out on you.
I have accomplished a lot since the conception of this new invention which is proof of due diligence in bring this product to the market as stated in patent law for the good of man kind.
I discovered a support organization here in Columbus, Ohio called the Columbus Idea Foundry. I met with Matt and we discussed their operation and discuss my new invention and he was impressed to say the least and informed me of how they can assist me with this project.
Here is the website for the SOUNDVERTERS ready to turn on with a click of a button.
It is great to know that their are people willing to help support us creators and helps us in anyway shape or form. What a great time to be alive.
If you have made it this far you will know that I am focus on bring this product to the market and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Now with all this work accomplish we are moving forward toward the injection molding process to ensure a fair price for the market.
I meet with Matt Fetterman GM for Best Buy,
He allowed me to demonstrate the prototype SOUNDVETER and he gave me a card with e-mail address to forward this info to him and stated he would forward to his corporate office.
Stay Tune for more updates. Thanks for taking your time to view please feel free to comment.
Below is a videos of me to introduce myself to you. I am working on better quality clips. These were all shot using my cell phone, So, I apologize for the sound quality here. That is a hurdle to hurdle and will be working on that.
More Videos to come and hopefully I can make them more professional as I explore This arena. LOL
Risks and challenges
The greatest challenge of this product is to getting it to a retail store. This is going to come with a lot of close doors perhaps. I am use to rejection and that is part of life. I use to be a model in my younger days. My past business experience helps me to be due diligent in the things I do and how to over come obstacles. Everyday is a challenge and everyday one must over come those obstacles. That my friend is what they refer to as ' That's Life".
One of the Greatest risk an Inventor faces is bring their product to market before time expires on their patent pending status. I learned a lot a couple of years ago about the patent process in the United States and Abroad. I came across a non-profit organization called Inventors assistance league, www.inventions.org
My invention should be ready for market with in a few months and that is unheard of in the inventors world. Some of us have to Keep It Simple, and some of the simplest inventions have change the world. Any of you heard of the Pet rock? Talk about something simple.
I will keep you posted here as set backs arises and how they where dealt with.
There was a little issue with the first set that came with the back vertical support being to thin and breaking off. Eric went to work right away and created stronger supports for the vertical tab.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
