"Some of the brightest talent I've seen in a long time, coming together to make something special. Exactly the kind of book the world needs." -Josh Fialkov, writer Echoes, I, Vampire, Alpha
"James Ninness is clever and funny. It just makes sense to support his work so that in Sanity, AZ can be unleashed upon an unsuspecting world." -Eric Shanower, writer/artist Age of Bronze, Marvel's OZ series
“in Sanity, AZ promises to bring a unique, bold and fresh perspective to the horror genre, from up and coming indie-comic talents with a wealth of imagination and experiences to draw from.” –Joel Gomez, artist Flashpoint: Reverse Flash, Detective Comics
"James Ninness, Joe Pezzula, Michael Drace Fountain, Marcel Losada and their team have spearheaded an eerie anthology which should appeal to fans of modern horror. This brand of macabre fills the void which is largely absent in spandex filled #comicmarket, and should be supported not only for its unique voice, but overall quality. Great efforts from a roster of fresh faces, I wonder who will become a household name creator first…" -Jimmy Jay, retailer/convention organizer Jay Co. Comics, Amazing Arizona Comic Con
"in Sanity, AZ is a gold mine for indie comics lovers! A killer anthology concept with a creator list that reads like a Who's Who of up and coming comic book talent. I am genuinely psyched to see these stories come together!" -Chris Ryder, writer/creator Dames in the Atomic Age
"These guys are f#@%ing rad. Holy s*!t! Give them your money right now." -Tony Fleecs, cover artist My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
"I love my son very much. I don't like this book." -Michele Ninness, James Ninness's mother
WHAT IS THIS BOOK?
in SANITY, AZ is a twisted, 160-page, full color graphic novel anthology featuring tales of a small town along a desert highway in Arizona. The inhabitants of this town are the castaways, looked at sideways by "normal" people that drive by, but here, in Sanity, they run the town.
This project is the brainchild of four creators: Mike Fountain, Marcel Losada, James Ninness and Joe Pezzula. None of them knows how to draw, so lucky for you, they're working with nineteen of the best artists they know: Chris Burkheart, Courtney Camacho, Chris Collins, Collin Fogel, Kevin Gemser, Ben Glibert, Scott Irwin, Rich Kuhaupt, Frank Luna, John Narcomey, Donald Poquiz, Jorge Sevilla, Brian Soriano, Jed Soriano, Lance Sawyer, Mike Temple, and Daniel Touchet. And we can't forget the graceful colors of Shannon Forrey or the hard-hitting covers of Phoenix celebrity, "Big" Chris Wood.
Yup. It's kind of an all-star crew.
in SANITY, AZ is a series of stories, each revolving around a different set of characters within the town of Sanity interacting with each other or the poor souls who happen upon their paradise in the desert. Initial plans see the finished stories released in three digital issues and then collected and released in a trade paperback by the end of 2013.
WE WILL OVERPRINT IF WE MEET OUR GOAL! We want to make this book available to retailers and, consequently, everyone!

Risks and challenges
The script is written. The artists have signed contracts. The only thing we need is money.
So, what's the risk?
Well, like all projects, there can be hiccups. People get sick or invaded by an alien, so we might fall a day or two behind schedule... But that's it.
All four of us have published comics. This is not our first rodeo. We have distribution ready. We have printers standing by. When we say the only thing we need is money, we mean that the only thing we need is you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
