About this project
After two fruitful years of gigging in pubs, festivals, concerts, and contests, The Bodarks are finally hitting the studio. But just like our live hootenannies, we want YOU to be a part of the music.
Specifically, we're raising money for studio time, most likely with Nomad Studios under the direction of J.T. Longoria (who has worked with a variety of artists including members of Guns 'n' Roses). We have written 12+ songs for the album, all with a central theme: the dream of America as a bountiful new Eden with her own share of devils and temptations. The songs will be professionally recorded, mixed down, and released on a full-length CD, along with individual digital downloads. The CD will be packaged in jewel case with a booklet-insert designed by our very own Jason Bell. And finally, some degree of advertising and promotion to local radio stations, internet channels, etc., will be necessary.
The Bodarks are ripe for a full-length album. But we can't do it without you, nor would we want to. As a folk-roots band, we want you to play an integral role in helping us bring this project to fruition. Like our live hootenannies, we want this to be music for everyone, BY everyone.

Risks and challenges
If our goal is not reached in the allotted time, it will cost you nothing. But even if we do reach our goal and raise the funds, there's always the possibility of unforeseen obstacles. We are prepared to adapt and deal with these challenges, and each of the four of us brings to The Bodarks years of experience with other bands and music projects where we've learned to deal with such. The difference now is that we have acquired resources and a network of people who are capable and eager to see this project succeed.
So, join the hootenanny! And let's create this album together.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
