Update #2: Character Creation Video
Hey guys, thanks to your incredible support we're already 75% funded in less than 3 days!
A lot of you have been asking about character creation, so here's a video demonstrating what we have working so far. Keep in mind that this is pre-alpha and that a ton of stuff will change before final release (e.g. interface re-skinning, new skills, etc). Hope you enjoy!

Magic users can use any armor, but their casting will be penalized if they do.

Convenient obvious barrel is obvious. Wait...magic users can use metallic Armor...WHAT??

@ Scott - Breathing - agreed. Looks like they're simply bobbing up and down. An Icewind Dale character look would be more immersive/realistic, rather than this cartoony look

You say "there are five classes" after which you list the 5 races. Doesn't bother me, but you might want to edit the video and re-upload.

1. A 'Resume' menu item is already working, it just wasn't flagged and visible in the video.
2. You're in luck, no double confirm saving! Just click+enter and hope for the best.

Character creation looks good. Might be way too late, but regarding the breathing animation, it would look better if they "breathed" from the diaphragm up, without their hips moving.
Here's two very simple interface requests:
1. a 'Continue' option on the first screen that would start from your most recent saved game
2. please please please, no double-confirm on overwriting a saved game. Yes, when I select an existing game and hit 'Save', it means I want to overwrite it. One way to double-check for the user is to change the confirmation button to 'Overwrite' in these situations.

Awesome!!! I will try and break your game and flood your inbox with bug reports. I tested software for over 6 years at JVC back in the mid-90s. ;)

Fantastic! Thanks for the update!

@Kevin, Mac and PC alphas will be totally synchronous.
Kahuna Kevin on December 2, 2012
Will the Alpha be limited to PC or does Mac get to take part as well?
Matt Scartozzi on December 2, 2012
Everything looks surprisingly good for a pre-alpha. Hope to see some more videos in the near future. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for posting the character creation video update. It looks very nice.

Good thing I went for Alpha access, can't wait to play this:D The interface is looking snappy by the way. Of course not very polished but way easier to use than for example the weird one in Deus Ex HR (which felt more like a skill based mini game -.-)
