About

So in complete honesty this project's goal is to design and sell 3-D printed tabletop dungeon map tiles that can interlock and be reused to create a new dungeon each time. Now I do not currently own a 3-D printer, but I do have the knowledge, experience, and software to create the 3-D models for the dungeon map tiles. Which I already started working on before kick-starting this project. To be specific these dungeon tiles will be 3x3 inch square tiles, not hex. My first set will be designed as a medieval dungeon/medieval fantasy dungeon theme. Future models and accessories might be made following different requested themes.
Now my personal goal is to design affordable dungeon map tiles, because I would love to give people out there the same 3-D tabletop dungeon experience that I myself have long craved. While at the same time not hurting their wallets as much as the $700 in paints, glues, Styrofoam, carving tools, and props it takes to make a decent 3-D map that can only be used once.

If you have any questions message me on here.

Risks and challenges

Well, first off I can design the 3-D models, I'm experienced enough to make decent ones and I have the software. But I have never printed any of my designs so I could always face issues with 3-D printing the tiles. I of course have an open mind and am extremely willing to learn, this has been a long time dream of mine. I have seen that 3-D printers can cause flaws sometimes and can take allot of perfecting to get it right. I don't expect I'll get it right the first try, but wouldn't that be great?
And also I do not know how many tiles I will be able to print per spool of filament, which will be the second biggest factor in cost of the final product. The first being time, supply might have trouble meeting demand because 3-D printers can take a while to make a single piece.
