Dear Kickstarter supporters,
Our campaign is coming to a close. With less than 48 hours to go, we have 132% of our final goal, which far exceeds our initial expectations. We want to thank all of you for making this happen, for we could not have been this successful without you.
As the day of the competition draws near, we’ve been working hard to finalize all of the details of the event. We have finished making the Wheel of Misfortune and have already begun arranging for the Kickstarter rewards. We are happy to report that we are on track to fulfill all of our commitments to our Kickstarter backers.
Here’s something exciting: the event has drawn an incredible amount of attention from the dancing community. We’re ecstatic about this! But we’ve received so much attention, that it would be impossible for our current venue to support every dancer that wants to attend the event. The last thing we want is to disappoint hundreds of people on the day of the event because we reached our maximum capacity, so in order to avoid this issue, we will be selling all of our tickets online. This does not directly solve the capacity problem, but it will save people the trouble of traveling and waiting outside only to find out on that day that they cannot get in. We will announce where you can purchase tickets within the next couple of days. If your reward already included a ticket, do not worry!
We’re disappointed that we won’t be able to share the experience with everyone who wants to come. Now that we know how many people are interested in this event, we want to take this opportunity to announce that we are already planning UNLUCKY BREAKS 2, and it will take place in the very near future. We promise to book a much larger venue for the second event so that no one will be left out, and because of your support, you will be the first to hear about UNLUCKY BREAKS 2!

WE MADE IT!
Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed by backing us or by spreading the word. We are incredibly excited that this event is becoming a reality and we're looking forward to sharing it with you on December 8th.
So...we hit our $2,500 goal, but we're just a bit shy from fully covering the costs of the event. We want to take this opportunity to bring you our one and only reach goal of $3,500. This will fully cover our event.
We're not looking to make a profit from Unlucky Breaks, so our pledge as Kickstarter organizers, is that anything we receive above our $3,500 reach goal will be directly donated to The Edge Project. The Edge Project is a local non-profit organization based out of Long Island, NY, where experienced dancers like our friend Daniel Rodriguez help provide dance classes to youth who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it.
Thanks to everyone who has backed us so far! Let's keep the momentum going!
