Hello and welcome!
For starters, I can write anything you ask me to...except when it comes to writing about myself. So, I'll jump right into it.
Growing up I was never one of those kids that knew exactly what they wanted to do when they grew up (well...I did want to be a princess...but the 'princess' career path doesn't exactly have a high probability of success). I, like everyone I suppose, wanted to do what I love, what I'm most passionate about.
The one thing I was most passionate about, that I could always count on, was (and still is) reading. Harlequin novels to be exact. Love. Happy endings. Finding the one. I still sigh just thinking about the possibility of happily ever after.
Eventually I desperately craved a new hobby and decided to create my own stories. In 2007 I created a blog on Blogger for short stories and poems and added new posts sporadically. (I attached the link to my profile here on Kickstarter, by the way!)
My love for writing became a blessing; a lovely distraction from the world. Writing is my escape from reality, however so brief.
The day after Christmas, in 2011, I spontaneously plunged into a new adventure, Me & Eryn Carlo, with newfound vigor. I mean, who doesn't feel a surrounding sense of inspiration around the holidays? A hope for a dream come true. A hope for something more. Hope to simply be happy.
As I composed my first novel the words poured out of me as if my fingers, my mind, my heart had been waiting for this exact purpose, to insert the words onto the empty Word document. Thus my first venture into the world of fiction novel creation was born.
Me & Eryn Carlo was written in approximately a year and a half. I cradled it and took the time to read through the manuscript twice and even posted some chapters on a new blog to gain readers' perspectives (that blog link is also attached here). Finally I felt it was time to move forward and share the whole story.

The next welcome challenge - Editing. I'm reaching out to raise funds so that I can hire a professional editor that will spend hours upon hours scouring my novel and applying developmental and copyediting techniques.
With your help I plan to hire a reputable editor. With their recommendations and editing expertise I feel that Me & Eryn Carlo will vastly improve all around. Editing ensures that the message is clear, that the story flows, and that it all comes together in a perfectly happy ending. Editing can influence reader satisfaction.
I'm so excited and cannot wait to move forward with my first book! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read this project blurb.
I cant wait to share Me & Eryn Carlo with you and the world!
Risks and challenges
The only challenges I foresee are time-based. Here's how the timeframe is expected to flow (please note that this plan is estimated):
August: Editing is tentatively scheduled to begin August 1. The editor will spend approximately 65 hours on developmental editing and copyediting which may take approximately 3 to 4 weeks.
September: After the manuscript is returned I will review the editor's suggestions and make any necessary alterations. Please allow 30 days for me to peruse and implement changes to the book.
October: Please allow an additional 3 to 4 weeks for a final read-through.
November: When the final manuscript is ready to roll I will self-publish and order the hardcover and paperback copies. The paperbacks should print and ship 3 to 5 business days after I place the order. The hardcovers take slightly longer and should ship 6 to 8 business days after order placement. Note: all copies will ship to me and I will then disburse to each backer individually.
Depending on your location you should receive your shipment in November or December.
All digital copies will be sent as soon as manuscript is finalized and ready to go!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
