Hi, I'm Mike. Lead designer and programmer at Code Avarice.
We have started working on a project that is very ambitious and we need your help.
In Project Towers, you find yourself on an alien planet. However, one of the things that makes Project Towers special is that it will actually take on a real, spherical planet. Meaning that if you walk far enough in one direction, you will end up where you started.
So, on this alien planet, there are towers. All the towers connect back to one main tower, which is the main encampmet of the aliens. The smaller towers drill oil and send it to the main tower, where it is used for power.
Your goal is to conquor these smaller towers and claim them as your own. The benefit of claiming a tower is two fold. It takes a little bit of power away from the main tower, and gives you a place to hide out when the going gets tough.
Your options for taking a tower are many. You could sneak in at night and stealthily take everyone out while they least expect it, or go in in the middle of the day with a shotgun and show em who'se boss. You could even find a nice hill nearby and snipe all the enemies outside, then come in and finish off any stragglers.
However, you cannot just take the tower as your own. The aliens may come back and try to reclaim their tower. You have to leave behind defenses if you leave. These could range from turrets and boobie traps, to giant motes.
While you are exploring, killing enemies, and taking over towers, you will be earning XP. Xp can be spent to upgrade yourself, your weapons, and your towers.
Once you claim all the towers for yourself, you can try and take down the main tower in one final battle!
The game will feature Co-Op, so you can join forces with your friends to battle aliens, as well as competitive multiplayer, where two teams compete to capture all the towers on the planet.
