Maggie's Farm would like to raise money to improve the comfort level for all our valuable guests. Earlier this year we moved into the spot of the amazing Chameleon Cafe, which did an amazing service for the neighborhood of Lauraville and its surrounding communities. Maggie's Farm would love to continue this tradition; we will build upon that success and encourage the growth and prosperity of our neighborhood!
Our new Chef, Andrew Weinzirl, formerly of the Wine Market and the Chameleon, is dedicated to providing our guests with his "refined peasant cuisine." This involves using seasonal ingredients, sustainable food that has been grown or raised responsibly, and supporting small and local businesses and farms.
Our General Manager, Matthew Weaver, formerly of the Chameleon, is devoted to showing our guests a good time. He's led the restaurant through several aesthetic improvements in the interest of your dining comfort and pleasure: new tabletops, the construction of our "bar," new lighting, new silverware, new signs, and fresh coats of paint inside and out. You can also thank him for our diverse but well-curated custom cocktail, beer, and wine lists.
At this point, though, and as far as we've come, we'd like to better maintain our recent improvements and changes and be able to make a few more.
*Our bathrooms and service station could use some help. We'd like pretty them up to give people a pleasurable experience whilst doing the most sacred of activities.
*The air conditioning unit in our dining room was installed improperly, and we'd love to be able to fix it. Our patrons swelter during the summer and deserve to be more comfortable.
*We'd also like to give a facelift to the dining room ceiling: it needs a few repairs, and we'd like to remodel it to match the current esthetic of the dining room.
Overall we just want our guests to be comfortable in our intimate dining room. With your help we can further enhance your dining experience and continue to bring you some of the best food in Baltimore.
Thanks for your help!!

Risks and challenges
We know we have a lot on our plate! Remodeling and repairing parts of the restaurant will be costly and time-consuming. But we are lucky to have this opportunity to reach out to you; we hope you look forward to the improvements as much as we do!
In addition to our proposed projects, we'd like to use any extra money to bring in some extra refrigeration units. This will exponentially increase our ability to supply our guests with a wider variety of fresh ingredients, as well as cut back on our costs.
We are fortunate to be raising our families in a neighborhood bolstered by wonderful programs and non-profit groups dedicated to strengthening the local economy. Hamilton Lauraville Main Street, for example, has been a great source of support for us. All of our guests, new and not-so-new, are also great motivators.
If we don't raise enough money for our desired improvements, I guess we'll find another way. We look forward to your donations of money -- and time and man power, if that's what it comes down to!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
