Risks and challenges
First Game and First Kickstarter Campaign:
At Great White Games we believe that honesty and openness between us as developers and you as customers is essential. This game is the first game we have created to the level that we want to make it official and we feel the best way to get our project recognised is through Kickstarter. However, with this being our first official release, it is also our first Kickstarter campaign. We politely ask backers to understand and acknowledge this factor if we happen to do anything that is not an expected norm within the world of Kickstarter.
It was our hope to be able to bring the game out to backers by the end of the year. However, with Kickstarter not releasing the money immediately at the end of the campaign period, there is a possibility that it could cause potential delays. If this is the case we will inform backers immediately via the updates section. We feel confident we can deliver the game in December if the money is released to us relatively soon after the campaign finishes.
Printing & Distribution:
With this being our first game, we have yet to experience first hand what it is like to physically create the game and distribute it to fans and consumers. We have done research and feel confident we have an effective strategy to in place to get the game delivered to your door in time. However, we hope that backers of this project understand there may be delays if some unforeseen event is to interfere with what we intend to do. Our ballpark printing and distribution figure is incorporated into the price of the reward tiers and in the event we have slightly underestimated, it will not come out of your pocket it but ours.
This Project is Almost Complete:
The best thing about this project from your perspective as a backer is that the game is already fully developed and balanced. We intend to use some of the funding to create a more professional looking set of cards, but other than that, your money will be coming to us risk-free. If you want the game all you have to do is back the project at the level you want and it will cover the cost of printing the deck and distributing it to you. With your backing only two outcomes are possible: The project either reaches its goal and you get the game, or it does not and you get refunded. We ourselves here at Great White Games have already invested a lot of money from our own pocket to make the game a reality, so you do not have to.
