Effective immediately, we are discontinuing our Kickstarter campaign for the MOD-t (2nd Gen). Here’s why.

We decided to crowdfund the second generation MOD-t 3D printer because we wanted to be able to engage directly with our supporters and receive your reactions and feedback to the project in real time. We reached our funding goal in just 5 days, but, in doing so, we received a significant amount of feedback indicating that our supporters had greater expectations for our second generation offering. We have always strived to listen closely to our customers' feedback, and given the overall reaction to the MOD-t (2nd Gen), we decided that the best course of action would be to discontinue the Kickstarter campaign effective November 15, 2017, rethink our next generation offering, and return with additional updates in the coming year. We're very grateful to all of our Kickstarter backers and longtime customers for their valuable feedback during the campaign, and we look forward to providing you with additional updates as they become available in the future.

Thank you,

New Matter

Well that's a surprise, I saw mostly good comments and constructive feedback when you started... Maybe not a big wow factor but I was excited...

Wow, this is very surprising to me. But it's extremely comforting to know you guys are reading everyone's feedback and listening.

If you're working on making the follow up better than ever, my only suggestion would be to have a much larger build area! I really want to make props and more advanced prototypes, but I feel like my space is limited on my MOD-t v1.

Please give all us the heads up again for that early bird special!

Well, hope the next will be even better. Please keep us in mind for that deep discount:)

Too bad, I was really looking forward to surprising my family with this printer. It was such a great offering and a right at my sweet spot for price. I hope you are considering coming back and trying again. I also appreciate that you cancelled the project before collecting funds, instead of after and taking my money (like other campaigns have done to me). Wishing you the best moving forward!

Kinda disappointed but hopeful that 2nd Gen would be even greater the next time around. Really think you should consider an upgrade kit for the Gen 1 printer, even if we could send it in for the upgrade. A new board, maybe a better hot end, different print surface....all this is viable, although I don't know if commercially so. Nonetheless, onward and upward!

3D Printer-less at this moment. Sold V1 to help pay for 2nd Gen.

Thanks for your kind words of support, Eric and Hope! Keep an eye on our website and social channels for news about our upcoming holiday sale!

I'm sure whatever is next will be great. With the original have any holiday discounts? I am still interested in purchasing my first 3D printer.
