While we love reading well-reasoned editorials, my wife and I would be very please to read un-slanted articles in the news section. While we probably share many of your views, we don't want the news to be a reflection of our prejudices - we want REAL news, without editorializing regardless of your position.
The talented team you have assembled has the ability to deliver this to the Colorado public. Please. And Thank you. Be good.

Congratulations! My family is in the southern Rockies and it would be so great to have someone covering the land use issues more in-depth (use the geographic mapping data and citizen science contributions now available on USG websites!) The fact that the premise of grazing and mining laws have not substantially changed since the 1870's is a scandal. That plus the impacts of climate change in the mountain west--super important. The winter sports industry and the Southwest tribes vs. Bundy Ranch militants..irresistible headline!

Haven't bought a paper in years for obvious reasons I hope this paper makes it cause Denver needs an honest news outlet desperately, uninformed readers make uninformed decisions.

      Good Luck!

I am so pleased with your success to date. As you think about visual content, I encourage you to consider the inclusion of a talented, independent political cartoonist to bridge the gap between the visual and the editorial within your "pages." Sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation!

We're excited about the future. Please consider a Boulder news section and invite Dave Krieger who was fired from the Daily Camera for his courageous stand against hedge fund interference.

Be sure to add some West Slope correspondents! I'm sure there is some talent stuck here at our Durango Herald who'd love a new gig.

Can these people work with the Colorado Independent people to build a new news source?
The Denver Post is entering its death spiral so it will be good to have a replacement ready.

Hey all! Great idea! I'm happy to back this project and happier that you all are getting such a great response. My humble request is that you all make sure to publish an RSS/Atom newsfeed of locally written/published articles. This would be great for me because I almost exclusively use Feedly to get my news.

I'll help. Hope you will report the facts first and then clearly distinguish your opinions and interpretation. I don't mind editorials as long as they aren't presented as news. Hope you will make this a core value.

I was so unhappy to learn about the new ownership and direction of the Denver post, and the associated cutbacks to a team of talented and dedicated journalists. This kind of journalist owned, reader funded model is exactly what we need. Wishing you the best of luck and looking forward to reading!

Please design a new logo before launch. Marketing is critical. Design quality could make or break the project.

A free press is critical to a healthy democracy. Looking forward to seeing how this project develops and hoping that it's sustainable and can spread outside Colorado as well!
