Summoners build their army using the occult symbols on the dice. These symbols gain and activate spells, creatures, auras and curses from a common pool of cards. Deplete your enemy’s health to eliminate them and win the battle.
Dice Summoners is a light, quick game for two players. It's ideal for couples or small groups looking for a fun game to start an evening. With 44 interchangeable decks it is also ideal for a whole day of gaming. The game only takes a few minutes to set up and takes 30 minutes to play.

Each player begins with 3 starting spells and creatures. The centre of the gameplay area contains a pool of 16 communal decks of cards. There are 44 interchangeable decks in the box to allow for a variety of gameplay. The rule book has four suggested formats to choose from and a guide on how to create your own set up.
A player's turn is split into 2 stages: Gain and Combat. In the Gain stage, players earn dice based on the creatures in their army. Stronger creatures give dice of greater number and strength. The dice are then rolled. In the Combat stage the player matches the symbols rolled on the dice with the many different actions available on their cards. Actions include casting spells, summoning creatures, stealing, healing, attacking and defending.
Every turn there will be multiple actions the player can choose from. The player ends their turn when they run out of dice to complete actions. They can also choose to keep some dice for the next round. Play continues to the next player. The game ends when one player’s health drops to 0. The remaining player wins and is declared the greatest summoner in the land.
The brilliant Kate O'Moore of MAKER Creative did the graphic design to make the content beautifully composed and easy to read. Her style fits perfectly with the theme and the overall direction of the game. We look forward to working together on future projects.
Artwork and illustration for the cards were all completed by the very talented Brendan Purchase. The illustrations really help capture the essence of the game. His skill gives this game a beating heart. Brendan is best known for his work with 'Dark Horse Comics' having contributed to many different pieces with them.

As a Kickstarter exclusive to all our backers we will be adding in laser cut health trackers and a laser engraved coin. These health trackers will be a nicer way to keep track of your health in the game instead of the little black cubes. The coin is a great way of determining who will be first player. They won't affect gameplay in any way but we think they are pretty cool. They are being added in for free to each copy of the game as a Kickstarter exclusive. This is to show our appreciation for your incredible support with the campaign. The image below shows the prototypes and gives a rough indication of the final pieces.
Each laser cut health tracker will have a circular base so they stand upright. Each one represents a different faction in the game so you can show your love for your favourite. The fire represents the Daemonolatry faction, the egg represents the dinosaurs in the Science faction and so on. They will also be cut from different colours to match. The coins will have easily recognisable icons on both sides so players can shout skull or sword while it's in the air.

THE VELOCIRAPTOR, because who doesn't love a velociraptor? This creature is part of the Science faction. The velociraptor was a fearsome hunter and boasts a very powerful attack but a weaker defence.

THE ARCHANGEL adds a whole new element to the Enochian faction. While most angels use their powers for good with healing and defence, the Archangel takes the fight to the enemy by adding a formidable attack to his healing ability.

THE INCUBUS is an advanced creature with a powerful attack strength that brings a high risk, high reward strategy. It brings a great opportunity to build an offensive strategy.
AREL is part of the Enochian faction bringing the healing ability to basic creatures. She is an easy addition to your army that could provide healing at just the right time.

The most famous dinosaur of them all. THE T-REX is a mythic creature with a powerful attack and defence combination. With this stretch goal, you can now answer that eternal question: "Who would win in a fight? a T-Rex or a horde of zombies?".
THE HYDRA is a mighty creature with a much easier activation to other mythic creatures meaning it can be deployed for big damage with more ease.

Eoin Costelloe, Ciara Costelloe and Brian O'Moore founded Decking Awesome Games in 2015. We've been playing games since we were kids and have always loved the friendly social atmosphere they create. It is our mission at Decking Awesome Games to fill the world with exciting and novel games.
Eoin originally came up with this idea in 2016. Working closely together we have designed and prototyped over 30 versions of this game to come up with the best and most polished experience possible. It has been an incredible journey and we can't wait to share this game with the world.
Meeting our Kickstarter funding goal will allow us to do our first manufacturing run (of hopefully many). After our backers have received their games we will sell the rest in board game shops, at conventions and online. By using Kickstarter we will be able to create the best game possible with engraved dice and high quality cards. Risks and challenges
The components, mechanics, design and artwork of Dice Summoners have all been completed, prototyped and tested.
The stretch goal artwork will be done if the goal is reached and this will not affect the delivery date of the game.
This is our first game to publish. That is why we have been dedicated to removing any risks and common problems. We've worked tirelessly to ensure our manufacturing, logistics and fulfilment will work for all our backers. We have several contacts that have helped us in these stages and ensure backers will have best experience possible.
We are confident we will get this game to all our backers on time with our funding goal.
