"The Lady Who Sees Angels" is a documentary television program that examines the belief in angels across many cultures and religions, and focuses specifically on the life of Lorna Byrne. Lorna is a worldwide bestselling author from Ireland who has been seeing angels all her life... she sees them physically and talks with them every day. Her autobiography, "Angels in My Hair", has now been read by over one-million people around the world, and is translated into 28 languages!
Lorna sees a guardian angel behind each and every person, regardless of their religious faith. Her messages of religious tolerance, hope and love resonate with people from all over the world, and across all religions in an amazingly positive and effective manner. She regularly appears to standing-room only crowds in many countries. Her sincerity and modesty contribute greatly to her believability.
We will examine Lorna's assertion that each of us has a guardian angel that is with us from birth, and never leaves our side...even for a minute, until after death. She also says that many other angels are available at all times to help and guide us through life...all we have to do is ask!
Our program will also feature other people from varying religions and cultures who have had experiences with angels... some in life-and-death situations, and some in everyday living.
If you are one of the over one-million people who have read Lorna's autobiography, feel a special affinity for angels, or are simply a person who likes to support good television, we really need your support. Every penny of this production is coming from pledges and contributions.
Others scheduled to be interviewed for this program are Dr. Eben Alexander, bestselling author of "Proof of Heaven"...Dr. John Esposito of Georgetown University and the Founding DIrector of the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslin-Christian Understanding... and Dr. Bawa Jain, The Secretary General, World Council of Religious Leaders.
The funding for this program on angels and Lorna Byrne comes 100% from contributions. We hope you will join us in "listening to your angels" as Lorna says, and will help with the production of our program by pledging here on Kickstarter. If you are near the Philadelphia area, we hope you will join us in a special television taping of Lorna Byrne with a studio audience on Nov. 26, 2013 at the studios of WHYY-TV.
Risks and challenges
As a longtime producer-director, I am confident that this project will be a great success. I have never worked on any project that I have felt such enthusiasm and dedication to making...nor have I had as many people volunteering to help!
Pre-production planning is the key to making sure that every shot, every interview and every location is well thought-out and scouted. This saves production budget funds and gives us more opportunities to make the best program possible. As a university instructor of television production, I teach these lessons daily and promise to not waste one penny of our production budget.
Our challenge is to ensure that we raise enough funding to be able to produce a program of the highest quality... a program that everyone will be proud of... both immediately upon completion, and years from now.
It is rare in life when we get to feel that we are truly making a difference. That is the way I feel about making "The Lady Who Sees Angels." If we can help spread the many messages from the angels of religious tolerance, hope and love for our fellow man... I think we will have done our job.
Again, thank you for your support!
