Thank you SO much for supporting my project. Unbelievably, our 3-month run is coming to an end. We are closing WAW's doors forever this coming Tuesday, 11/20.
It has been a life changing experience and for our final hurrah, we are going big with 3 bands, cocktails, and most importantly a fundraising gala to support Sandy Relief Efforts, we have partnered with local charity New York Cares as the beneficiary of proceeds.
What we have done since our opening on September 15:
- welcomed more than 3,000 visitors
- ran 13 workshops, 2 performances, 1 film screening, 2 school groups, and multiple neighborhood events
- hosted 3 group shows with more than 150 artists
- sold 65 works of art
- all for free to the public (except for the art sales, that is)
If you are in the city, please consider purchasing tickets and supporting our charitable efforts. RSVP here: http://wawclosinggala.eventbrite.com, OR help us spread the word!
