The influence of the Norse society and especially their mythology on today's fantasy literature, television and games can hardly be overestimated, heavily influencing fantasy legends like Tolkiens Lord of the Rings, R.R. Martins Game of Thrones and several pen and paper RPGs. So its about time to bring it all the way back to the northern roots.
The Yggdrasil Compendium - 24 pages
This compendium provides background information of Yggdrasil, the world of the Norse. The world is very closely based on the world of the Norsemen inhabiting Scandinavia from the 8th to the 11th century, from the beginning of the Viking age until the christianization of Scandinavia. The compendium is divided into four chapters, the Norse Society, the Land and Creatures, the Norse Pantheon and the Character Creation. The 24 rune alphabet of the Norse can be found in the Appendix. The compendium is delivered in two versions, a Player Version and a Dungeon Master version. The second version contains information about the world, which is revealed in the campaign. A condensed Fact Sheet and the World Map are attached separately.
