Our focus is on creating a product that has outstanding user experience and features.
Any WIFI enabled product still require Bluetooth first to manage setup and registration for new users. This process is quite complicated and creates user experience issues. More importantly, most home WIFI does not cover the entire house, especially the bathroom where our product Adore will be often placed.
Regarding that, we believe the ultimate solution is to bypass WIFI and this unique capability will be in our next generation.
By supporting us now, you will receive a great product with better experience very soon.
Update: Plan on supporting "capture and store" function so you do not need to use your app every time you get on scale like when just stepped out of shower. We will sync data that data next time you have app on.Last updated: -
We use latest technology called Multi Frequency Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (MF-BIA). We use multiple electrode (4x) over glass surface that connected to electronic inside the frame. Multiple frequency is critical to adding more accuracy to our system. In additional critical algorithms reside in Cloud that can provide additional computation power. We plan to support upper body scan as well to create a segmented computation to improve accuracy further. For this analysis, user simply has to hold the unit after weight measurement is completed (not required very often).
We have published comparison on site. The way you should read chart is Green Check mark under Adore (first Column) simply means Adore support all those feature under title (Weight, BMI, etc...) other two column means how we compare, so for example, against Tanita (second column), for first row for Weight, we have average-difference of all data across different subjects tested is 0.64% (some call it mean) while Max-Difference observed is 2.9% and Min-Difference observed is -0.1%. This is called tail end of distribution so most difference is around mean which is what most people should see. So, third column, For InBody against adore Ave is 0.29%, Max is 0.4%, Min is 0.1%...and so on. We hope this make sense now, we are trying to give you solid data to judge our system.
We also plan for obtaining FDA certification as well which our team has extensive regulatory experience in medical field. Our company has already obtained ISO 13485 medical certification for both design and manufacturing.

$30 covers the handling from the manufacturer to distributors then the logistics to each individual. Plus the special glass material we use for Adore is heavier, which including the packaging to protect the product, it's about 7lbs. Please understand that we did our best to get the best deal for you guys on the shipment. What we could do is we would like to thank each one of you for the support and understanding by focusing on the cool features we are able to provide you.

Adore requires regular AA x 4.
Battery usage depends on the frequency of use as well as the quality. We expect the battery to last 1 year or more based on the single daily use.Last updated: -
We haven't yet tested against DEXA. However, we've tested against other similar bio-electrical impedance based body composition systems for home and for professional use. We've listed a comprehensive summary of the comparisons on our Kickstarter campaign.
Update: We are going to be collecting data based on different body shapes to compare against DEXA and to publish complete analysis to community.Last updated: -
It is 0.1 or +/- 1%.

There is no known health risks associated with pregnant woman using
the Body Composition Monitors and Scales like Adore.
Because research has not been done on this population extensively, we advise women who are pregnant to use Adore for weight purposes only. There are
dynamic physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, a pregnant
woman cannot expect an accurate body composition reading.
Since obtaining an accurate reading during pregnancy is not possible, it is
recommended to monitor the body composition until after delivery.
We actually took it into consideration and now working on providing a pregnancy mode in our App (as target goal/profile setting) that will allow expecting mothers to focus on areas that matter during this period.Last updated: -
