The Photon electric kick scooter is designed to be self-sustaining while adding multimedia functions. Equipped with polycrystalline solar panel cells on top of the base, the Photon is constantly being trickle-charged when not in use, increasing the range of the electric scooter. AM/FM radio, and USB/micro SD ports- all of which are connected and integrated with speakers near the front wheel. This allows the rider to listen to their favorite tunes whether from local radio stations or an mp3 collection or through bluetooth, and thats not all - a wireless remote provides full control of all features; with the touch of a button you can flip through radio stations or mp3 songs.
Kickscooters have existed for a hundred years. Electric scooters have now been around for over twenty-five. Most companies have worked on reducing the weight, the size or improving the performance of their products, which has unfortunately remained relatively the same. One of the major problems with electric scooters is that they require regular charging and are pretty basic, having no additional features beyond their two dimensional practical use. We felt that the scooter needed a make over to bring it to the 21st century. That is how the Photon was born. The Photon board is made up of solar cells that continuously charge the battery. As long as it is getting natural light (in cloudy or sunny weather) the battery is charging. This will avoid expensive battery replacement and will guarantee that there is always some juice in your scooter. We added speakers so you can play your favorite tunes from a USB stick, through your phone (via Bluetooth) or play FM radio. The scooter is equipped with a phone holder and all of its parts and features are waterproof. You can even ride in the rain! To make it even more interesting the battery of the scooter can be used as a charger for your phone or any USB device thus reducing the carbon footprint even more.
The photon scooter is great for short rides, campus rides, you can ride it in a warehouse, you can ride it in a park, you can use it to go to the variety store or pick up a newspaper, visit your neighbors or you use it as emergency vehicle in case your car breaks down. It is the ideal short distance scooter loaded with features!
Help us make the photon even better! if we reach these goals we can include upgrades for all photons on the market!
DAYMAK PHOTON TEAM
Aldo Baiocchi - Founder/CTO Aldo is the force behind the vision of the Photon alongside his team in Canada. He is also responsible for bringing the product to market. He believes the Photon with the speakers and solar self charging power is the next level of electric scooters and most of all it's cool to ride.
Mike Chow - V.P. Research & Development Mike believes in simplicity but leading edge. Details must be perfect or the product should not go out. He is responsible for the fantastic design that continuously trickle charges. Mike believes anything is possible and all suggestions about future enhancements should be directed at him.
Anthony Zhang - Lead Engineer Anthony is a dedicated team player who spends long hours to accomplish the tasks set out. He is responsible for transforming 3D files into reality. There is no technical challenge that Anthony can't overcome.
Billy Dang- Engineer Billy can build almost any product from scratch. Give him a couple of steel pipes and he will shape them into any form imaginable. He has built several prototypes for the Photon and has added useful information that can only be obtained by riding the Photon.
Matt Chan - Industrial Designer Matt is a wiz at 3D designs. When there's something Billy cannot envision Matt steps in and puts everything in 3D so the team can conceptualize it before its build! There is no design that Matt cannot do. His attention to detail makes the Photon that much better!
Wing Fee Yeung - Product Designer Wing fills out the design for all other minor but extremely important details. He is professional to the core and an asset to the team.
David Solomon - V.P. International Sales Need more Photons? Want to become a future distributor? Contact David. He is fluent in 7 languages (English / German / French / Spanish / Hungarian / Portuguese/ Italian). Email David at: firstname.lastname@example.org

Risks and challenges
Successful kickstarter campaigns sometimes have encountered problems when taking their prototype products into production. This includes finding reliable suppliers and meeting quality control standards necessary for engineering products for mass-production. Daymak has several years of experience in dealing with Asian suppliers. All its suppliers have been inspected by Daymak and Daymak has done its due diligence in making sure that the suppliers can build to Daymak's specifications. Our plans are in place, and a successfully funded project will provide the resources needed to complete and deliver the best product possible to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
