THE BEAST STORY
Like to mark your own path? Don't want to be limited by the road? The Daymak Beast Ebike is for you! This electric bicycle that acts like a scooter has full functional pedals that make it street legal in most of the civilized world without insurance or license, and it has wide tires that allow you go where regular bicycles can not go! But wait, the Beast doesn't stop there! Not only can it go on paved roads, dirt roads and off road, it also charges while you are riding, working or resting!
Imagine going into the woods, camping, on a farm, on a mine, in a park, any where, without making a noise! You can listen to the birds or the waves! Your Beast is 100% green. In fact it is one of the greenest ebikes in the market thanks to its solar battery pack! 100% Green! 100% Fun! For ages 16 or older!
The solar battery pack charges at approximately 1 km/hr or 0.6 miles/hr in any type of daylight. Cloudy or sunny the battery is charging! 90% of ebike riders do approximately 10 km/6 miles or less per day. This means most riders will have no need for a charger (don't worry a charger is included if you need to charge faster).
The Beast's removable battery pack can act as an emergency power generator and features two usb ports where you can plug any small device from your smart phone to a notebook and with 110V/220V plug available on the Ultimate version you can even plug in a TV. What more could you ask for?

Billy can build almost any product from scratch. Give him a couple of steel pipes and he will shape them into any form imaginable. He has built several prototypes for the Beast and has added useful information that can only be obtained by riding the Beast. You can see Billy ride the Beast with passion in the video!
Wing Fee Yeung- Industrial Designer

Risks and challenges
Successful kickstarter campaigns sometimes have encountered problems when taking their prototype products into production. This includes finding reliable suppliers and meeting quality control standards necessary for engineering products for mass-production. Daymak has several years of experience in dealing with Asian suppliers. All it's suppliers have been inspected by Daymak and Daymak has done it's due diligence in making sure that the suppliers can build to Daymak's specifications. Our plans are in place, and a successfully funded project will provide the resources needed to complete and deliver the best Beast possible to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Shipping is not automatically included in your pledge. Choose the pledge package you want, then add the shipping value from the description to the amount pledged.
As an Example: if you pledged for the BEAST EARLY BIRD SPECIAL, and you want it shipped in North America, change the amount of your pledge from $1,079 to $1,328.
We will contact all our backers after the project is funded to verify exactly a shipping address where you want your Beast(s) to be shipped.
For international addresses, the same process, but add the additional international shipping.
If you want to pick up your Beast(s) at our head office in Toronto, you will be able to specify this after the funding is complete.
The seat and handle bars are adjustable. You should have no problem riding it if you are taller or shorter than the average height.
The included lead acid batteries in the Beast standard will give you approximately 300 charge cycles. At this point in time the replacement lead acid batteries are $199.
The Deluxe and Ultimate version have lithium batteries that will give you approximately 1,000 charge cycles. At this point in time the replacement Lithium batteries for the Deluxe are $899 & for the Ultimate are $1,399.
Is the difference in weight because the Ultimate has a lighter alloy frame? How much weight do the batteries account for?
The Lithium batteries are about 60% lighter than the lead acid & the alloy frame is much lighter as well.
The two together make a big difference in the overall weight of the Beast.
The battery pack accounts for approx 25-30% of the overall weight, depending on the model.
The standard version of the Beast can go up to 25 Km/hour (16 Miles/hour).
The Deluxe & the Ultimate versions can go up to 32 Km/hour (20 Miles/hour).
There is an ignition lock on the Beast. So, you can't just walk away with it.
We also suggest, like with all moveable transportation objects, that you use a bike lock/chain to keep the unit as secure as possible.
Yes, in fact, the Standard Beast will handle up to a 10 degree incline, the Deluxe Beast will handle up to a 15 degree incline, & the Ultimate Beast will handle up to a 18 degree incline.
It depends where you are from, but in most cities in the world the Beast is a street legal ebike with no permit needed to be street legal, but you will have to look at your local laws to check for sure.
It will depend on the length of the incline, but the following stats should cover most average situations.
The Standard Beast will handle up to a 10 degree incline.
The Deluxe Beast will handle up to a 15 degree incline.
The Ultimate Beast will handle up to a 18 degree incline.
It may be an option that is offered in the future once the models are all in full scale production, but this is not something that we currently have planned in the works during the kickstarter period.
You can always buy a Beast and just use the pack on its own.
Yes, the Beast & it's Battery are both water proof.
You can also ride the Beast in the rain.
You should dry it with a cloth after a rain fall.
The motor is an Alloy 8” brushless gear motor, It was custom designed by our R&D Department.
We do have the blue prints, but we are not publishing them.
