Screenshots from the GoTouch app. Stretch goals coming soon.
You've helped push us all the way to $56,000, which is absolutely incredible. As a way of saying thanks, we'll announce some stretch goals in the near future, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, many of you have asked about the functionality of the GoTouch app, and where to get it. Click the links below to get either the Android version from Google Play, or the iOS version from Apple.
On to using the app!
When you launch the app, you'll see a splash screen that makes it easy to get started with one of the options. You can launch a blank whiteboard, or open a PDF presentation (support for more formats coming soon), an image or a video to annotate.
Before you start using GoTouch in a new room, you'll need to calibrate it. This usually takes less than a minute. The calibration screen looks like this:
Here's a view of the blank whiteboad screen. You click the G icon, either on your phone or on the screen with your GoTouch Pen, to bring up the menu.
In the menu, some of the things you can control are pen type, line width and pen color. See the three images below:
Other things you can do within the app include:
- Create a group for collaboration. People can collaborate using the GoTouch app on a smartphone or tablet, or by using another GoTouch in another location
- Load media for annotation. You can load images, videos or PDF files, just like you can on the splash screen
- Save a screen to your phone's gallery.
- Share a screenshot by email, SMS or just about any other way that iOS and Android allow.
We really hope that this gives you a better idea of how the app works. If you have suggestions for improvements, please let us know. We're a small team, so we can't incorporate every idea you come up with, but we do want your help to make GoTouch better.
Thank you for your support. Please let others know about GoTouch too!
