Imagine if you had a device that could simulate the effects of the shower on tinnitus without actually taking a shower. I still can not believe a cure has not been found seeing how it is basically the same as if we had a person immune to a virus but haven't found out what makes the person immune. I think it's because people are so set on thinking that it must be sound related. The simple fact that people who claim to experience relief during a shower also say they do not get that relief simply listening to shower sounds seems to indicate something else is going on.
Has anyone ever seen the movie Daredevil and specifically the rain scene where Daredevil can actually see by means of sonar? It is my belief that the sound waves that echo off during a shower create a sort of sonar that vibrates off the skull creating the effect. I'd like to research the effects of sonar on tinnitus.
Funds raised thru this project will be used to purchase the necessary equipment to properly record the vibrations generated when water from a shower hits the flower and walls which I believe creates an echoing effect that vibrates off of a persons head. It is these vibrations that I believe can be simulated with a pulsating device that can be worn on a person's head. The funds will then be applied to find appropriate manufacturers to create the end product.
Risks and challenges
I'm a engineer by trade and have the incentive to fully research this possible solution as I have been suffering from bad tinnitus for over 6 years now.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
