Final Task is a short film about the last man on earth and his need to finish one remaining project before the inevitable.
Final Task is a short film that takes place in the near future. It is about the end of the world and the last man to inhabit it. He has one remaining project to finish before the inevitable.
Fortunately for him, he’ll have a very creative team to help tell his story and your donations will help us bring our creative vision from script to screen.
We are currently securing locations, finalizing the shooting script, and working on the remaining storyboards so that we can start shooting as soon as possible. We expect this project to take about ten days to shoot over about a dozen sets / locations.
After shooting is done, we 'll be busy editing, recording any additional sound effects, and compositing a few special effects shots together. We plan to work with local musicians to create a score for the film as well.
Once finished, We intend to enter this film into as many film festivals as we can. We have already sparked some interest in Houston Texas.
We will also be releasing the film as a Digital Download and on DVD complete with commentary, making of, storyboards, and possibly even the original graphic novel version.
Your donations will be going to various items from location fees and travel expenses, to green screen material and props. We also need to upgrade our editing station and software, create and ship the rewards, and of course pay for the film fest entry fees.
Aside from our eternal thanks, everyone that donates at the $10 level or more, will have their name listed in the credits.
Along the way we will be posting updates and behind the scenes photos and footage on our Facebook page - www.facebook.com/finaltaskmovie .
Lastly, we created the trailer specifically to have something to show. We created the bedroom set and borrowed our storyboard artists kitchen. In the final film, these scenes will be re-shoot at the actual locations / sets.
If we do raise more money we will be able to rent some additional equipment which will help create a better quality product. We'll be able to add additional items into the DVD packages, and possibly even travel to some of the less than local film festivals and get to meet many of you in person.
Thank you very much for taking an interest in our project and we look forward to bringing this film to you.
Kickstarter is an all or nothing process. If we do not reach our goal - the film does not get funded. None of the backers will be charged anything either.
