About this project
So it's a pretty simple project. I just finished writing my new album 'Magnitudes of Order', and I'm pretty damn happy with how it's turned out. All I need now is a little bit of help from you beautiful people to get it out there!
As you probably (/maybe?) know, I normally put my music out for free, and nothing will change with this album, it will still be available as a free or pay-what-you-want digital release on bandcamp. The difference is that this time I want to make something 'real world' and get some CDs out there too! CDs will be in a recycled cardboard digipak, (still has a plastic inlay though..) and if numbers allow will be printed with vegetable inks. Now, it's turns out that printing CDs is relatively expensive, which is where you come in ;) I've got an awesome cover artist lined up (the talented Vincent of Virtual-Light), and the trusty Mr Colin OOOD is twiddling his thumbs just waiting to master the final copies of the tracks. It's an 8/9 track album, and like the last one it has a very loose theme, here's a little something to give you some idea...
For all apparent chaos, we find a few simple rules.
Yet the rules keep on changing, so we sharpen our tools.
But the further we delve, the small just gets smaller.
Forever our search, will reveal Magnitudes of Order.
*Please, poetry headz, don't have a go for using 'but' at the beginning of a sentence ;)
Where the money's going:
£500 - CDs (recycled cardboard digipaks, using full-colour vegetable inks)
£300 - Mastering
£200 - Artwork
£100 - Contingency fund! Whatever happens this will be channeled directly back in to the release.
If by some miracle we manage to raise more than the original goal, once everything everything is covered, extra will go on a bit of professional promotion. And then if there's somehow even fuuurther funds I would love to print a small run of 'A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy' too, that would be amazing (but we would need a significant surplus).
Anyways, that's about it. Like I said, I just need a bit of help from my amazing fans, and I know you're amazing because I get so many messages of love and support, without which I would never have thought this possible!
Please share this project with all and everyone who you think might like to be involved! (share buttons are under the video)
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart x
NEWS FLASH!! Radioactive Sandwich will be doing an exclusive to kickstarter funders remix of my track 'Up the Xylem Elevator'! I will send out a secret download link once our goal has bean reached. (Thanks dudes, can't wait to hear this!!)

Risks and challenges
I can't think of many things that could go wrong with this project (famous last words!) due to it's simplicity. The plan is to get it out by mid-late September (but earlier if possible). I have total confidence in Colin, my mastering engineer, and from what I've heard of Vincent (cover artist) he is super speedy and efficient. So the only possible worry is getting the CDs back from the manufacturers, as they are the only non-personal connection involved. They quote that delivery takes 12-14 days from artwork approval time (takes about two weeks for kickstarter to process your payments too), so I've given myself a decent chunk of time from completion of the kickstarter campaign to get it out, reckon it should be adequate. Also, I will be posting these by hand myself (with the help of a post office...), but I can't see why that should cause delays, I'm a pretty efficient worker ;)
Iiiiiiiiiiifffff (it's a pretty big if) worst comes to worst, and everything that could possibly go wrong does go wrong, there could be a slight delay in getting your CDs out. But believe me, I'm just as keen as you to get this album out of my bedroom/studio and into your ears and brains!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
