The PDF will be fulfilled through DriveThruRPG and you will need a DriveThruRPG account in order to receive digital rewards. The book will also be printed through DriveThruRPG unless a different option becomes clearly preferable. We will need your address in order to ship the book to you. Shipping, print, and markup is all part of the cost of the backer pledges; you DO NOT have to pay for that separately.

You should be able to access the PDF of the game's rough draft within a week or less once you pledge. If you do not receive it soon after you pledge please contact us and let us know. Please note that the rough draft will be a very visually simple and art-free version of the game that has not yet been professionally edited, and you should expect it to evolve at least some. We provide this both so you can get a good idea of what the game will like, AND very importantly, so you can provide us with feedback on it so that the game can continue to be honed before it is released.

While A Far Off Land does include rules that are Fate-specific, it also provides a wealth of setting material, such as creatures, locations, magical artifacts, plot-hooks, and organizations. While the game was built for Fate, if you are familiar with the concept of rules/system-free RPG books, then you may approach A Far Off Land in the same manner, adapting it to the ruleset of your choice.

A Far Off Land will include rules that are "powered by Fate", this includes monster stats, a magic system, stunts, and more. To take full advantage of these you will need the Fate Core rulebook.

Yes, any pledge that includes the digital library will get a collection of pregenerated characters and a blank character sheet.

Any of the backer tiers that include the digital files collection will indeed come with a graphically-simplified print-friendly version of the PDF.

Anyone who pledges, aside from the Tip Jar option will receive the currently planned stretch goal material. That means that if you pledge for the Digital Collection, the Artificer, etc... you will get the magic system expansion, The Company of Mortals, and the Apocalypse World material. This is, of course, assuming we reach those goals.

If we add more stretch goals later, who receives those will be determined at that time

At least some of it will be, however, Kickstarter backers get the digital stretch-goals without paying extra for them. If you want to get the stretch-goal material without backing the Kickstarter, that will mean purchasing it separately.
