BODY ELECTRIC "FITNESS ON DEMAND" 6 PREVIEW PROGRAMS
Since 1984, I have produced over 500 Body Electric fitness programs that have aired on PBS. The shows were enthusiastically received because the benefits of exercises using light weights were easily realized at home; the popular music inspired motivation; and as the creator and host, I continue to value the Body Electric "friends" who have benefited from the program over the years.
I have produced 40 plus DVDs, however, there are constant inquiries about the Body Electric shows. The problem has always been that while PBS stations were allowed to offer popular music and artists, the licensed music was not available to me.
I recently had the most exciting news! I could offer the original shows in their original format, including the music, via streaming video (video on demand). The Body Electric "friends" have received this news with great enthusiasm. For a modest monthly fee, $25, subscribers will have total access to all of the streaming programs. I will initially offer 26 thirty-minute programs and 8 fifteen-minute shows. Each month, I will add more programming, including some new programs that I plan to produce.
I am launching the project on Kickstarter because the streaming media has to be paid up-front for the year, as do the music licensing licensing companies, ASCAP and BMI (yes, there are fees). The funding goal is $32,000, which will be raised through video on-demand subscriptions. As soon as the funding goal is reached, within four weeks, the streaming service will become immediately available.
I can't wait to share the shows and the fabulous music. The program has remained safe, effective and relevant, as correct form has always been the priority.
Risks and challenges
Additional Body Electric shows, which were aired on PBS, will be added to the "Fitness on Demand" streaming video each month. I plan to produce new Body Electric programs shortly after the program is funded and launched.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
