Lee, on the 25th of march you said I would get my refund in the 8th of April. Two weeks later I am still waiting and you have not replied to my email from last week. Can you please get his sorted.

Great news! Sorry to hear about your Mac :(

    5. Image_3703.small

Creator Lee Harris on April 8

Perhaps the b******* who stole my Mac on Saturday are replying on my behalf...

      Anyhow:

      1. Revised version of the snappgrip-free app should be uploaded this coming week. Awaiting the Chinglish fix list to translate into English. It addresses everything bar resolution which will be enhanced in a subsequent release in a couple of weeks' time.

      2. We've tested the jag.gr apps and they're great. Really, really great! Again, upload by jag.gr is expected this week so realistically the announcement of 'they're available' is ~15-20 days away.

I understand that currently app store submissions which of course are out of our control are running at 10-14 days until approval/availability.

Lee - you seem to be replying to things today - any update on app improvement and integration with other apps?

Martin - I have re-emailed you the voucher redemption email that you have lost/deleted as per your direct email. As I keep requesting on here, please use direct contact for specific order queries. I will not leave comments unanswered when they question what has been done and they will always be replied to with factual information.

I have just sent a direct message to Martin in response to his direct message to me pointing out that:

      - we emailed him the pledge redemption instructions on 21 January
      - he opened that email on 21 January
      - he has not yet redeemed his pledge voucher unlike several hundred other backers who are now in receipt of their snappgrips

I agree that this is ridiculous.

      Lee.

      @Barrett

      1. The lens limitation is clearly stated at www.snappgrip.com both on the lens descriptions and on the iPhone 4s variant description.

      2. It's caused by the distance between the flash and the lens on iPhone 4s. Any case supporting add-on lenses for this handset will block the flash which we regard as a larger limitation and we did not regard it as practical to manufacture a lens- and a non-lens case for iPhone 4s which despite the installed base is a legacy handset.

    17. Bd.small

Creator Barrett Dent on April 1

I received my snappgrip today. I have an iPhone 4S. And I've discovered that the add-on lenses I ordered cannot be attached to the 4S case. Rather disappointed in this design oversight.

    18. Missing_small

      Creator Francis on March 31

Lee, I don't know if I'd call the project complete until everyone has their snappgrip in hand and fully working. So I'd would most definitely count the Android backers still waiting, and the app is still fairly buggy, which given that it's mandatory, it does rather limit the function of the snappgrip.

It'll definitely be an improvement when other app developers (like Jag.gr) get their own app out - hopefully it'll be much nicer to use then.

When can we expect your app announcements? You were hinting at something about a month ago, so I'm guessing fairly soon?

    19. Bd.small

Creator Barrett Dent on March 31

Lee, going forward I suggest you hire yourself a bright, happy and professional customer service rep and try to distance yourself a bit from feedback. Because though you have obvious talents, handling complaints and criticsm isn't your strong suit. Best wishes. Thanks for making the snappgrip.

Dear Barrett - I'm glad that you found the email we sent you. Now that the iPhone element of the project has been delivered all communication sent via the website's contact form and via email has been responded to and it seems only appropriate to regard this as a running product/business rather than a Kickstarter project. I believe the vast majority of the backers are far from tired and upset. There is a small minority of vocal and very negative comment posters as is typical of internet forums/boards.

The remaining element of the project, i.e. Android/Samsung support is on track for Q2 and I expect to make some exciting app integration announcements shortly. Meanwhile I stand by my contention that the Kickstarter comments for a project that is 90%+ delivered (going by the mix of iPhone/Samsung backers) with rewards completely fulfilled is not the most appropriate communication medium. The product, backing process and fulfilment is effectively complete and now in its evolution stage and if you have not yet received your snappgrip it will certainly be in your hands shortly. Thank you for your support of the project.

      Lee.

    22. Bd.small

Creator Barrett Dent on March 31

Thanks Lee, It got junk filtered. The invoice however makes no mention of the lens accessories I purchased?

We all get that this isn't your preferred means of contact. But a great number of backers are expressing problems contacting you any other way. Please respect that your backers are voicing reasonable concerns. Since we backed you on Kickstarter, its somewhat baffling what you would be discouraging us from using the communication tools provided here. I'm not trying to upset you. You have very vocal and at this point very tired and upset backers. I think you should accept that your product is more than a year past the original estimated delivery. It's been a hard road for you. And a bumpy ride for all of us that have shared (what you allowed us to of) it with you. I want to see you succeed. But I also am admittedly just happy that I may soon finally get my hands on this long awaited bit of tech you've created.

    23. Image_3703.small

Creator Lee Harris on March 31

Barrett - you have mail and received a shipping confirmation email on 25 March.

As previously pointed out, Kickstarter comments are not the optimum method to enquire about specific delivery/redemption issues as compared to direct email to snappgrip.com or the site's contact form.

    24. Bd.small

Creator Barrett Dent on March 30

Could you confirm what's happening with my order? I haven't received shipping confirmation of any kind. I did go and redeem the voucher and even ordered some add-on lenses. But I got a bogus extra shipping charge out of that. Anyway, I'm hoping to get my snappgrip before an upcoming trip.

Lee, sorry to say but it's a bit hard to give much credibility to your latest comment...
      a) I am in Belgium, Europe,
      b) I am waiting for the iphone version,
      c) I have sent 2-3 emails to info@snappgrip with no response whatsoever.

If you ever get back to this comments section and feel like still sending my reward, the white iphone 5S snappgrip + extra white 5S would be appreciated.

Francis. Please stop polluting the comments with this frankly rubbish. ALL iPhone rewards have been dealt with and shipped from our EU and US warehousing. I am reporting your recent comments to Kickstarter as spam.

@ RJ Ayres and anyone else who has a reward query specific to their reward. As per the redemption update, please contact us directly through info@snappgrip.com and individual reward shipment queries will be dealt with. You should certainly have shipping confirmation emails (in pdf invoice form) in your inboxes that have UPS, USPS or Royal Mail tracking numbers.

Samsung/Android development is continuing as is 3rd party app integration but the Kickstarter comments are no longer actively monitored now that virtually all of the campaigns rewards and certainly ALL of the iPhone rewards have been fulfilled.

I'm feeling a bit bad for saying this a month ago:

"If we guessed at sending 10 a day (it takes a month or two for an update, so 10 labels in a day seems doable) and posting Mon-Fri then they should all be posted by April/May, which is in line with what Lee said already "April/May is still a conservative and realistic estimate." (even if he was talking about 2013 rather than 2014).
So, any earlier than April and I'll count it as a win, or if you're impatient you could shell out another £50ish and get it through Amazon the next day."

It looks it might be a wee bit close to reality...

Monday has come and gone (In the UK, normal business hours) and nothing from Lee again. I want my money back.

He's claimed he's been waiting for customs clearance in the states; yet some in the states are getting their snapgrips. So that's no longer an excuse.

I'm tired of the excuses, just send my money back.

    37. Missing_small

Creator David Iclanzan on March 24

On January 24 Lee stated "There are 10x more snappgrips than Kickstarter rewards being booked into our warehousing so there is no issue about prioritisation. There is more than enough supply."

On February 8 he said "we are now busy typing address labels ". Yet here we are a lot of us 6 weeks later, without a snappgrip and more importantly without any update on delivery :( There are 557 bakers, so what happened to those thousands of snappgrips? In my case, shipping from UK to the mainland would only had taken a couple of days.

When I ordered from the website, as no specific delivery date was stated, according to the Distance Selling Regulations in the UK the seller has 30 days to deliver the goods after they receive the order. If this is not possible they must advise the consumer before this deadline. Also, when you place an order, the seller becomes obliged by the law to provide further information in writing or by email. I tried to contact them, they never bother to respond.

I don't think we'll hear anything now untill Monday. Lee says he only responds "during UK office hours, not weekends". So keep patient, I guess.

If you click on lee's name on the main page, you can see he is still logging into this site. Hence my earlier comment about him ignoring us. I might as well ask for my money back.

    43. Missing_small

      Creator Sandra on March 21

This is getting ridiculous! I'm in Belgium, shipping from the UK should take about 2 days, but it has been weeks and still nothing! Tried to contact them through info@snappgrip.com and through kikckstarter mail... Complete radio silence! I guess I'll have to assume this will never amount to nothing (and yes, Lee, I do know that assuming makes an ass out of you and me, but honestly, at this point you don't really need my help in that department).

    44. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Martin Lippert on March 21

so it's been 14 months now since the project was funded. will i ever receive my snappgrip?

    45. Missing_small

      Creator Francis on March 21

@Dean - The last Lee commented was on the 28th Feb "We're now focussed heavily on app development and partnerships (and Android)." and "We are involved in technical and commercial discussions with a good number of existing photography apps. It would not be appropriate to disclose any details prior to agreements being written. That's what's happening on the app front. It is an important focus of mine."
But, like you say, there is a dearth of information from Lee.
Your best bet might be to keep an eye on Amazon and Facebook, as well as the snappgrip site and the odd google search - info sometimes turns up there before anything is posted on Kickstarter.
