EDIT: Pictures of the actual castings!
Hello everyone, welcome to the Freak Circus!
A collection of bizarre and weird circus characters which were inspired amongst others by shows on television, old pictures seen in books and on the internet. I always had a fascination with these strange quirks of nature and thought it would be cool to do a range of them in miniature form.
The miniatures were sculpted by Radmir Achmentov. A very talented sculptor from Russia. I think he captured the essence of the characters very well and did a really good job!
We actually had commissioned them a pretty long time ago but they only arrived just recently due to some odd circumstances. Maybe the nature of the subject had something to do with that. But I'm happy that they are finally here and I can present them to you!
We have five (six including the Little Princess) different characters on offer in this campaign and if we do really well then I really hope we get to delve further into the subject matter and get many more Freaks done. I know that I have at least 20 more of them in mind so hopefully those might happen at some point also!
This campaign is pretty straightforward and small. I tried to stay as low as possible with the pricing of the miniatures. Hopefully you'll agree.
As said before we have five (six if you count the Giant & the Little Princess as two) miniatures on offer in this campaign. I've tried to take good pictures of them but the original sculpts proved quite difficult to photograph well due to the dark polymer clays that have been used. That's why I've also made some short video clips of them all which show them in all their glory. You can see these videos at the bottom of the page. I expect that the resin castings will be very smooth and even better looking as they always do.
Onto the stars of the show!
The Bearded Lady
Two-heads the musician
The Giant & the Little Princess
The Mighty Imp
For better views of the miniatures please scroll down for the videos. They show the sculpts quite well but are a bit big! :P
The sizes of each individual miniature are; (from bottom to top)
- Ringmaster 45mm
- Bearded Lady 52mm
- Two-heads 47mm (hunched over)
- Giant 70mm & Little Princess 25mm
- Mighty Imp 32mm
Shipping will be charged during the Kickstarter and costs are as follows:
Mighty Imp & Ringmaster €3,-
Bearded Lady, Two-heads, Giant & the Little Princess €4,-
The Freak Circus! €10,-
Please add €1,- for each additional miniature you pledge for! (except for the Freak Circus! pledge, €10,- will be enough no matter how many extra miniatures you get!)
The company who handles our shipping proved he does a good job with our last three Kickstarters and shipping in general so we have every faith we can deliver on time once again. We don't think there will be a delay in packages going out to backers but would just like to add that delays can happen. Once the shipping company has your parcels it is out of our control. However we will do everything possible again to fulfill this Kickstarter on time.
Please note that we are not responsible for any customs or other fees that might occur.
As always there are a few people I want to thank! The following people who's help and hard work has made it possible to do this campaign!

Sharing & Social Media!
One last thing which is very important! If you want to help us fund then please take a moment to share the project! You can do this by sharing the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, your blog, forums and on any other Social media you might know! Tell your friends who might be interested and with your help we can make this project as successful as possible, ensuring we can make many more wonderful miniatures in the near future!

Risks and challenges
The miniatures have already been sculpted and the masters have been shipped to our caster. Depending on how many we need, I don't think the casting will take more than 6-8 weeks. Once we receive them then it is in our hands. Out of experience, packaging won't take long and we have a reliable shipping company who does the distribution. This gives us good confidence that we will be able to deliver well within the set delivery estimate!
This is our fourth campaign and the prior Kickstarters were all shipped ahead of the estimated delivery times! Therefor we have great confidence that we can deliver yet another successful project to you, our backers!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
