The players take the roles of Mallorcan farmers, who strive to harvest as many of the island‘s tropical fruits: figs, almonds, olives, oranges, grapes, and lemons, as possible. The players deliver their harvested fruits to the island communities, which have constantly changing requirements during the course of the game. For these deliveries, the players receive victory points. In the end, the player with the most victory points is the winner.
Update 2018-03-06: The artist made a first draft of the new fruit tiles. Two things will change: the background will be lighter so that the contrast to the board gets better. Second, the shape will change which will make shuffling easier.
We will start with English, German and French rules. May be other languages will follow during the campaign depending on the demand.
"Excellent light-medium Euro with some of the best wooden pieces ever. The central mechanism which is a rondel works great and the fact that it allows for player interaction, is awesome! Very simple gameplay rules but I can see that with experience this game could become quite deep, as you start playing both offensively & defensively. "

G@mebox author Ralf Togler writes about the game:
"Finca was a nominee for the Spiel des Jahres prize in 2009, and as it seems it was only barely beaten by Dominion. Although the game mechanics may sound rather straightforwards, the reason and justification for the deserved nomination is that the two authors have developed a light-weighted family game that works really well. It is fast because the available decisions are limited, but still the gameplay is rather involving and tense. A high pace is kept up for a long time, since in most cases it is only in the end game the one or the other player will take some time to find the right turn. Still, Finca also is a tactical game where re-evaluations of a player's strategy are necessary in every new turn, a fact which is mainly due to the windmill where our movements and the possible harvest mainly depend on the movements of our opponents. The game will please the occasional and the experienced players likewise - another qualification which was necessary to gain a nomination for the most famous German games awards. And finally, since the game will not get boring even if it is played several times in a row, an average playing time of 45 minutes just serves the desire of an immediate replay rather well. "

The El Razul expansion certainly adds a bit of spice to Finca. Some parts just cuts down play time really, but I think that’s a good thing. The other two parts add a bit more cutthroat and interaction, which is equally as good. It’s not like it’s changing the entire experience playing Finca; it’s more like a subtle change in the game. It will definitely make us play Finca more than we have been doing before.

There will be a larger board so that the windmill blades can become larger.
