We plan to transform an abandoned New York City trolley terminal into a vibrant community green space using new solar technology.
3,300 backers pledged $155,186 to help bring this project to life.

Halfway there!

Posted by Dan Barasch (Creator)

Today marks the midpoint of our campaign on Kickstarter, and we continue to be blown away.  We've now raised over $134k from over 2500 backers around the world, and have attracted over 13k likes on Facebook.  One of the most fun signs that we're making waves is that we were referenced in the Apple iPad3 launch last week-- check out the attached screenshot!

With three weeks left in our campaign, we're hoping to raise all the money we need to conduct our engineering research-- related not only to our September tech demo, but also to the full-scale park.  Here's what different levels of support can do:

100k: (DONE): we can build a September tech demo
150k: we can keep the demo up as long as possible, to enable more community engagement
200k: we build the September demo AND conduct 1 of 4 engineering studies for the full-scale park
300k: we build the September demo AND complete all 4 engineering studies for the full-scale park

Check out this update video we made on our even more ambitious target of $300k:

Thanks again for all your help so far-- and please help us reach our next exciting milestone.  We can do this!
