We plan to transform an abandoned New York City trolley terminal into a vibrant community green space using new solar technology.
3,300 backers pledged $155,186 to help bring this project to life.

We did it- THANK YOU!!!

Posted by Dan Barasch (Creator)

Thanks to all of you for helping us reach our Kickstarter goal in just over a week!  We are unbelievably humbled, inspired, and excited that over 1800 people have contributed to our project so far, and will enable us to build a "mini-Lowline" demo in September.  It's a sign that our community truly supports the idea of an underground park on the Lower East Side-- and today we are one step closer to that dream!

But we're not done yet.  With additional support, we'll be able to keep our tech demo free and open to the public for an extended time, so more people will be able to experience this cutting-edge "park" for free.  And our goal is very ambitious: to build a world-class exhibition that showcases the power of solar technology, and engages the public on the promise of innovative 21st century urban design.  Every additional level of support will help us build a more kick-ass demo-- so please keep spreading the word, and stay tuned for more updates on what we're planning!

For now, congratulations again, and thank YOU for getting us to this point.  We will build it.  And you will come!
