What are we raising funds to do? Development and Implementation of a mobile app that specifically features our 'Ask Poppy' service. The app is designed to be simplistic; therefore, extremely user friendly. There is no login required and people do not have to create personal profiles to proceed. Upon opening the app, the user will be prompted with a screen to enter their name, email and tech question*. *The user must enter more than five words in the question field.  The Ask Poppy page can be found in the navigation header menu on our site.

Once the user submits the basic info plus a brief description of their tech related issue, a basic confirmation message will be shown to them and our support team is notified on the back-end via our CRM. The question is then routed to the appropriate representative. Reply time varies based on demand but Poppy's strives to reply in less than 24 hours. This includes responses on nights, weekends and holidays. The confirmation screen will provide the user an option of A. asking another question or B. Continuing to Poppy's website via the in-app browser. Please note: the user must be connected to the internet for this app to work; therefore, if the user isn't connected to internet, they will be taken to an offline page.

What defines a Successful Outcome? Functional application for both Android and iOS operating systems. Available for purchase on both the Google Play and App store.

How do we plan on accomplishing the task? Hired Front End Developer who manages a team of developers at a California Information Technology company. With over seven years of development experience, he is advanced proficient in User Experience, User Interface Design, Front End Development and Angular.

Also hired Freelance Graphic/Multimedia Designer who owns her own business. Services offered include: Application Design, Web Design in addition to Print Materials.

How Did the Idea of Poppy's Tech Aid 'Ask Poppy' feature Originate?

Ever been put on hold when you call the cable or phone company? Us too. That's why Poppy's Tech Aid strives to provide a superior experience when it comes to customer support in the tech industry. The technological landscape is evolving and it will take time for consumers to adapt. We understand time is valuable but is way too often disrespected by certain customer service departments. Poppy's Tech Aid provides a no cost 'Ask Poppy' Service that allows the user to ask their question and get a direct reply from a human being that will offer them with their personal (qualified) opinion on the issue in addition to providing video and text resources, if necessary. The user has the ability to follow up with the customer representative if they are not satisfied with the response. Our team will work until a satisfactory answer is given.

- Always helping fix tech related issues around the house for my family

- Noted the poor customer service reputation reported at many notable tech giants

Current State of Project?

- Kickoff call with team occurred in October. Project completion expected end of February. Splash page examples shared and provided feedback on...currently being finalized. Initial App (BETA) is expected to be ready by end of January! At that time, extensive testing will be conducted by multiple team members to ensure all bugs are caught and rectified ASAP.
