SPONSOR KEVIN, THE TALENTED TROMA DUCK!
ABOUT KEVIN THE DUCK
Why is Troma raising money for KEVIN the DUCK ACTOR? He is trained by the best at All Animal Actors International Holy Duck! It’s expensive to hire a Quackin’ Animal!! Ducks need to be trained, they need to be cared for, and above all, they need to be kept in safe and luxurious conditions! Just like any A-list celebrity, KEVIN has his back-stage demands. Troma usually makes low-budget movies, and trained animal actors usually only appear in huge films like Jurassic Park, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars! KEVIN is a star, and only fans of "reel" art can make it possible for KEVIN to appear in Troma's movie.
ABOUT THE MOVIE ‘RETURN TO CLASS OF NUKE‘ EM HIGH’
Return to Class of Nuke ‘Em High is a satirical comedy concerning idealistic students. The central theme of the film revolves around the noxious effects of bullying in the school environment and the triumph of love against blind prejudice.
Return to Class of Nuke ‘Em High deals with the universal challenges that face American teenagers, in the same vein as other 80’s cult classics such as Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Carrie, as seen through the prism of the Troma Team’s distinct vision.
The film follows the story of a unique couple that is up against the school glee club. Unfortunately, the glee club has mutated into a gang called “The Cretins.” When the other students begin to undergo mutations, our couple must solve the mystery and save Tromaville High School.
The original Class of Nuke ‘Em High was a seminal and successful 1980’s sci-fi satire and an official selection at film festivals such as San Sebastian, Tokyo Fantasy Film Festival, AFI/ Kennedy Center and Anthology Film Archives among others. Vincent Canby, the lead critic for The New York Times, enjoyed the original Class of Nuke ‘Em High. “Not since Sherwood Anderson wrote “Winesburg, Ohio,” has Smalltown USA come under such ruthless scrutiny as it’s receiving from some budget-minded producers calling themselves Troma Inc,” Canby remarked, adding that the film had “moments of redeeming lunacy.” Canby also stated that the director and writer “are clearly all people of welcome, anarchic humor.”
Established in 1974 by Yale friends Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz, Troma Entertainment is one of the longest-running independent movie studios in United States history, and one of the best-known names in the industry. Among today's luminaries whose early work can be found in Troma's 800+ film library are Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Jenna Fischer, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Costner, Fergie, Vincent D'Onofrio and Samuel L. Jackson, James Gunn and Eli Roth.
